Last year was my first DD and I kept it up throughout December, so I was done by the first week of January. It went through 12/31 because we were still celebrating with friends and family all month. This year, I was only planning on going through Christmas Day, but I have a photo of my champagne bottle with a "FU 2020" label, so I'm wondering if it will be weird to go from the 25th straight to the 31st? IMO it's totally fine. If you have things to include in the between days you can go for it, but I don't even think you'll notice much when you look back. If you want to add a little something to represent the missing days you could just do a card with 26 27 28 29 30 in some kind of artistic way with some kind of indication that nothing or everyday life went on. But I'd probably just skip it. I was never much for the every day daily thing anyway. I'm more about moments/memories because some Dec days have several moments and others just have none. I'm still finishing up my year end blurb book but hoping to get back to my Christmas book soon.

margie Nice to see a fellow January scrapper of DD! I don't think it would be weird at all, but I always go from Christmas day to NYE in my album. That week in between is sort of a rest period.

Tracking says my photos should be delivered today. We'll see, eh?
I have all my holiday supplies in one place just waiting. This year i cut a 12x12 of each of the three wrapping papers I used, in case I want to use them for scrapping.
Yesterday, after dusting all the album bookshelves, i looked through my previous DDs. I love them so much and am really looking forward to working on my holiday pages soon!

Zomg...... Photo order came!!!!!!!!
Have pics separated. Forgot how many little things we did at home to make it special, since we couldn't go anywhere we normally would have.
Gonna use the heck out of my stash, since next Christmas I want to buy all new paper!!😁
Right now I'm about to start a page about the holiday movies we watched.

Whoo! Photos ordered, album roughly laid out. Hoping to get most of it done this weeks if I receive my photos in time. If not this, then the next because it’s not like there is anyplace else to go.
Congrats to all who have finished.

Well, I finished my year in review blurb book. It turned out huge somehow, probably because I couldn't tell how many pages I was making as I went along, making it spread by spread in Photoshop. It's a 200 page 7x7 book! I thought 2020 was a boring, uneventful year. I left out all the controversy since it's for my parents, no election stuff, only one masked picture in there. How did it get so big?! They're usually about 60-80 pages.
I'm going to be looking out for blurb coupons so I can afford to actually order it, preferably after I finish my JYC album so I can get money off both and save on shipping. ugh.

Just need to add enamel dots. Yes! I love enamel dots but I didn't use many this year. Just wanted to pop in to say thanks to you all for helping me get through December: all the page ideas, all the suggestions for activities, and best of all, the Christmas movie reviews. I pretty much only do a December Daily and a Travel Journal for our yearly vacation so I don't pop in here much. I hope I will see you all online before the DD season starts again.

I've started six 12x12 layouts so far. Cardstock, pattern paper, matted photos adhered down. All still need embellishments, journaling, some titles.
For Christmas morning pages, i used wide strips of the wrapping paper i had used on the gifts. Perfectly matches the gift opening pics.

I've started several more layouts this evening.
I think my method this year is getting the papers & photos down, then I will go back and pile on the embellishments.
I finished the last of the 12x12 holiday pattern paper pad, and am using a bunch of the leftover 6x6 pad. Whatever paper is left after the holidays are scrapped is getting tossed. Next year I'm buying all new paper. By the sheet. No pads that take forever to use up.

Next year I'm buying all new paper. By the sheet. No pads that take forever to use up. This is what I do. I always want new things each Christmas so I try to limit my shopping to only what I can reasonably use in a single Christmas. I've got a few bits and pieces left over from prior years but this is by far the one area of my stash I keep well under control.

I am starting back on my DD today. I am about 1/2 way-ish done. But I have mapped out what I plan on doing so hopefully it will be pretty painless.

Mapping out the rest of my album is in my plans for today. I think that’s the only way I’m going to get this done. For sure. I didn't go as far to actually figure out the exact pages but I did round up photos + stories and make an outline and figure out what stories go on what days. My album is starting to kinda get thick (by. day 11) and so that is going to force me to pare down the 'excess' and just include what I absolutely want.

I went back and looked at the digital pages I made, I think I am up to about the 22nd, and I still like them! I have them saved and ready to pull into the blurb book so I can see how the album flows, and I made pages for my year in review for the last few days that might adapt well even though this book is a different size. I have a few more pages drafted too. I've been focused on other things, which is always the issue in January.
I also have the little ephemera notebook I started before I decided to go digital. I was just going to give up on it. But when I opened it up for the first time in a month I actually liked it, so I guess I should keep going.

Today I finished putting the base of the layouts, with cs, pp, and photos, together. I will have 20 holiday pages this year, to add to my ongoing holiday album.
I started embellishing layouts, but needed to cook and continue laundry, so I will need to finish them another day.
I definitely like how they are turning out this year. I'm focusing on photos, not worrying too much on forcing journaling for every layout. Using words only when there is a story that needs telling.

I’ve printed out twenty smaller prints and have started my list of stories I still want to tell. I’m hoping by the end of the week I’ll have all my photos printed and my plans for the type of pages for the remainder of my memory book.

Not doing a DD, but working away on 12x12 winter and Christmas pages. I don't feel the pressure to have a story for each day, but have the space to scrap the photos I want to scrap. Using up alot of the supplies I acquired in the fall, and still enjoying the process, so feeling good.

On Saturday I printed all my photos and started working on my book. I got to day 8 before I stopped and went to binge watch Leverage. I needed some Christian Kane time. lol
Sunday I wasn't in the mood to scrapbook so continued watching Leverage while I did some work, had some invoices to send out from our crane work we did last year. (I had worked from home Friday during the snow storm we had in MN).
I'm not in a rush to get December Daily done, it will get done when it gets done.

For about an hour today I started adding embellishments to my holiday layouts. I love the Jolees premade embellishments that I bought on clearance early in 2020. I'm trying to use them all up.

Well crap. I got done to Day 21 (and my album cover) today....and ran out of 4x6 photo paper. I ordered more paper but I might go ahead and order photos from Walgreens tonight so I can finish it tomorrow and get my mess cleaned up. The photo quality fo my Walgreens can be hit or miss but I think I might give them another shot.
