I don't usually vent about scrapbooking, it's my happy place. But I'm really annoyed. I need 1 12 x12 charcoal WRMK album. Just one, which seems to be impossible to find. I did put my name on the WRMK's website to notify me when they came back in stock. About a month ago, I got a notification so I placed my order. The next day, I got notified that my money was refunded, no explanation. So yesterday I got another notification and within minutes of that email I placed my order. Literally 10 minutes between the email arriving and submitting my order. And today I got another notification that my money is being refunded. WTF? I don't understand the purpose of being notified and placing the order. Anybody ever dealt with this company. I just want my album.

Looks like Joanns has a charcoal one in stock online.

I don’t understand that at all! Actually what I really don’t understand is how few albums they have available considering the demand for them. It sounds like they make them very infrequently and they don’t have all the basic colors available - how do they expect people to stick with their albums if they can’t get them when they need them?!
I hope you were able to get the album you needed in the end. I feel like they need a good stern talking to! Geez.

FYI-I did try calling, but you can’t get through to a live person. Since I was on the website I went back to the albums and it doesn’t show it as sold out which makes me mad-if it’s sold out don’t show it as available and I went and placed the order again (3rd time) and once again it’s been cancelled. But I did place my order with Joann’s (for less money) and hoping I won’t have the same issue. JoAnn’s had been sold out for quite awhile so I assumed I would have better luck going through the manufacturer-apparently not.

Our wholesaler is out if albums too, every time we try to place an order, it gets back ordered indefinitely.

I use the black American Crafts 12 x 12 album for my PL but my supplier of choice only ever seems to get one in at a time - so if someone else buys it quickly, then it's immediately out of stock. This time, feeling cheesed off with a similar situation to you finaledition I emailed them and said "help - this is what I need" - I was genuinely in no hurry for it but if they cared to place a special order for me, then I'd buy two (and probably a couple of other things as well). Sure enough, that's what they did....and once again, a small company with enough flexibility to accommodate an individual client kept my business. Like you, I wondered how something so basic could be so tricky to purchase. I even considered switching to something else (after about eight years of PL in black 12x12 albums)...but thankfully, I didn't have to. I hope they can repeat their great customer service for 2021!! (fingers crossed!) |
