I may have squealed earlier today. I was checking YouTube comments on my latest video. One person (who I know is a pea but I don’t know if I should say her name) commented to say it was a bit like watching Shimelle and how adding more kinda made everything just come together. This made my absolute day! I adore Shimelle and her scrapping so to be compared to her is just about the best compliment ever. I just had to share with people who would understand. (I hope! Lol)

Y’all really are so sweet. The past few days have been rough. Our return to school plan came out (state is doing hybrid, my system 100% in person) and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to return to my classroom to teach under the guidelines due to asthma and heart issue. Today our system announced that the school year is starting Aug 31 instead of Aug 17 and will be extended by a week. Teachers still report Aug 11 though. (That’s an extra week of work now.) I’ve done a reading webinar and math webinar for our new series yesterday and today too. It’s just been a frazzling time.
Then I read the comment on my video and your comments here...I’m a small channel. Seeing positive things like this really do mean a lot to me. Thank you. 💜

My favorite video of yours was when your yellow Nuvo bottle exploded during your live broadcast and you let out out the best laugh! A colorful surprise followed by a real unrestrained honest to goodness laugh. I'm so glad you don't take this paper and glue business too seriously. I mean, I already knew I liked you, but that somehow sealed the deal for me. I'm a fan now.

I’m so worried for you, and for all teachers... and tbh I just feel for everyone with school aged kids as well - what an impossible situation. A total mess, and I just don’t see how schools will be able to manage this situation. I hope things work out for you.

lilacgal Love your LO and how you've worked all those scraps into it. The paper strips create the graphic illusion of a snuggly bed, so perfect to frame your napping pet photo! I agree that this was very Shimelle-esque and that by adding, you pulled it all together beautifully! A fellow fan of Shimelle's Fitzgerald alpha Thickers.  ETA: Hang in there, teacher! Such difficult times and with the new studies finding 10 to 100 times as much virus in the nasal cavities of little ones, it's important to be extra careful for everyone's health. I hope you'll be able to navigate the return to school in a safe manner!

I used to polish them every week but then didn’t want chipped polish in videos so I stopped. Thank you! I hope I’ll be less self conscious about them now. 💜 |
