kitbop Bella Blvd put the event together but there were 6 workshops. 2 with Bella Products, one with doodlebug, one with Amy Tan/American Crafts, a Webster Pages workshop and this one which was a Stacy Julian class. She used what ever she received from whatever company was willing to contribute which was Simple Stories (nothing against them). When is the camping trip? How long will you be camping? The reopening stages work the same here. The higher the phase the more things that are open. We’re in phase 4 but not really - it was supposed to be indoor dining, malls, indoor and outdoor entertainment places, movie theaters, schools, concert halls etc. with capacity limits. All we got was outdoor entertainment places like aquariums and zoos.

My family just went back into full lockdown in Auckland NZ because a family of four tested positive and apparently went to work with symptoms. Hopefully a short term lockdown will get them back on track. They’d had 100+ days with no cases.
Whereas my county, which isn’t even that bad, has gone from 266 total cases Mar-July 1, to 773 now, which is not good! We got stalled at a barely-open level of lockdown, thank goodness, which the governor has scaled back even more (only outdoor bars, very limited indoor anything) but the attitude here is still a little bit - well, what can you do? People are taking it fairly seriously and mostly wearing masks (indoors) but it’s a bit disconcerting to see such different reactions in different places. Ugh.
In better news, we’re having a good month getting rid of crap from the in-law’s place. I had a couple of days of frenzied interest on things no one seemed to have seen when I put them up last month. It seems that once someone asks about it more people see it, which is annoying. A dead item stays dead while everyone tried to get in line for the popular items. Everyone is fighting over the copper coal scuttle today! No one wanted it for a month...
I sold some baskets today, and a lantern, and a girl is coming for the engraved gourd box and the old face powder tin (I hope soon).
Maybe tomorrow I can photograph the other dozen baskets (so many baskets!) and clear my space enough to add a couple of cards to my shop. And then maybe make some cards...? That would be nice...

I'm sorry guys - I'm not being a very good team player this month - I can't seem to keep up with posting here mostly because it seems like there's nothing to post. I haven't scrapped - picked up a few organising points so far but that's it. Househunting is going dismally - so far we've put in two offers - pulled the first after the inspection came back, lost the second There's nothing else currently on the market that we're remotely interested in so we're in a holding pattern. Motivation is awol.

joblackford - I saw that about NZ on the news...both stories. The 100 day streak and then the new cases. I hope the lock down is short term also. It's unnerving to see numbers go up locally but I'm glad people are taking it seriously. Way to go getting more crap sold - I thought finding a buyer for one oar was particularly impressive. Linda - I'm sorry the house hunting is not going well. I hope you have better luck soon. Everything here is pretty much the same. Work had been busy but now I am completely swamped. I worked a ton this week and sort of crashed yesterday. I did what had to be done and kept current with emails I received during the day but not much else. I'll probably do some catching up tomorrow. The photo I ordered for the back of the album project I'm trying to finish up is scheduled to be delivered today - so maybe I'll wrap that up finally and I want to make a page using last week's sketchy Saturday challenge. have a great day divas!

I've just been reading up on the NZ outbreak online - lots of unknowns, and lots of finger pointing and speculating... reading about their politics and news is exhausting! I already have enough nonsense to process here, I can't handle their stuff as well. I don't talk to my family about news or politics much. Besides them being on the other end of the political spectrum from me, I just can't handle any more! lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Yes, we only brought the oar over because we were pretty sure we had a buyer! A Navy officer and his friend, a Chris Craft restorer. They went home with half of the nautical stuff and I found a lady to take the smaller stuff they didn't want. There's someone out there for everything - just have to find them and get the price right! 12 ft oar in 12 foot wide living room (thankfully it opens onto the dining room so we had space to keep it out of the way) Oar by jo.blackford, on Flickr Current pile o' junk I'm working my way through... But don't worry about team points. We all have ups and downs. Everything here is pretty much the same. Work had been busy but now I am completely swamped. That will be satisfying! But it also sounds like some rest is in order. I'm going to try to get something done. I'm thinking virus diaries today and then maybe, just maybe, I can do some stamping tomorrow...?! I have lots of ideas and cards that need to be made, but struggling to set aside energy and time for them. Who knows, I might just stamp some this morning...

Yes... They just have a lot of everything... !! I called this car load "baskets and boxes and bowls, oh my!" My hope is that their storage room is getting empty, but I'm too afraid to ask. (And also to go in there because FIL is not a big user of soap, ick, and there is taxidermy, double ick.) Anyway, I made cards today!! Since I was talking about making time for cards I decided to just do it - I made time. I set aside the other things and got out an easy project and did it. I finished 16 cards. They didn't need much creativity, just muscle power. Some stamps need "CPR stamping" even using the stamp platform. I got my workout and once I post them here I can celebrate actually finishing a task from start to finish. Yay!

Hello Divas! Just checking in to say happy tuesday! There's nothing going on here...mostly working or doing nothing at all. I need to order/print out a different picture for the back of that dumb album project. I didn't take the binding into account and there is nothing I can crop off the photo so it won't work...sigh. On a good note, the Paige Evans pre-order I placed came in earlier than I expected and will be delivered at the end of the week. Maybe that will give me incentive to make something.

I'm back from camping! We had a successful trip - food worked out perfectly (always challenging in a group of 9 with only coolers) and we weathered a day of torrential rainstorms quite nicely. Only 1 tent flooded (it was in a small depression, so 6" of puddle went in the tent) - alas, that was the girls' tent and they had NOT put their bags up on their airmattresses in the morning, so they were dressed in everyone else's dry clothes for a day while theirs dried on the line! They also spent the next 2 nights sleeping in the van, but I think they liked that! The rain is the one thing we neglected to photograph, and considering it was so significant we're sorry we forgot. We were more in survival/batton down the hatches mode. Today is our 25th wedding anniversary, and since we're just back, it's gonna be a day of recuperation. I don't even think we feel like eating out. DH is currently napping. The kids are snacking on leftover chips. The dog has a lame leg - she's getting older and feels the aches and pains like we do when we change our activities. I certainly don't want to put on make up or "proper" clothes to take a photograph even! If anyone has low-key suggestions on how to mark today, please suggest! We will "celebrate" another day, but I don't want to totally ignore today. It would be like ignoring Christmas IFKWIM. joblackford - I like your approach to selling all this stuff - 1 load at a time - it sounds like you are doing as well as you could honestly! Those baskets look lovely actually, I'm sure they'll be easy to unload. Linda - sorry about the househunting. There isn't a lot on the market where I live either and I'm glad we're not hunting. Realtors are desperate for business. We came home to 4 notes in our mailbox offering to sell our house for us Thanks, no thanks! christinec68, so frustrating when you are that close to being able to put away a project! I think I may have mentioned how far behind I am on photo processing. I think I might try to get this current camping trip printed out, and go backwards just for motivations sake.

I'm getting ready to try and do some virus scrapping. Just need to settle myself a bit. I have some quiet time for a little while before the interruptions start again. We had a busy week. We sold an extra truck FIL had (!!), a couple of baskets, and yesterday we sold 3 wheelbarrows and a wood cart in one afternoon! I also sold some WWII binoculars on eBay in a day, after many weeks of procrastinating on getting them ready and listed. FIL is very happy. I still have some cool wooden boxes and a random assortment of kitchen junk to go through in the basement - some of that will go straight into the donate box or the trash, but hubby is probably going to load up a tote full of lemon juice squeezers for us to start on next. The hallway where you come into the house has a glass case and a multilevel wall shelf full of juicers. Once we empty those we can sell the furniture too. Anyone want to guess how many juicers there are? I'm not sure what the answer is - not sure I want to know... Also, moose antlers and the taxidermy deer... I did a better job of balancing my time this week and got some crafty stuff done as well as some shop stuff and some junk sales stuff, so let's hope I can keep that up. It felt good to make a few cards and restock my shop a little bit. Does anyone else feel the season changing? I'm a little alarmed at how fast time is passing these days! Hope you all get some sunshine and some crafty time this weekend

Sorry to hear about your poor old pup. Hope the leg is feeling better. What kind of dog is she She's on the mend! Today she has moved herself around the house...we didn't have to carry her She is a miniature schnauzer (at 22 lbs, not truly miniature but we love our "stout German girl", and a TOTAL DRAMA QUEEN. She has 1 sore paw/ankle, and acts like her whole body is a mess. It's comical at times, although since we can't explain to her that she'll be OK we do take pity on her. Tonight, she let me wrap the leg in an ice pack and she lay still with it for 10 minutes. I should have thought of that earlier - if it's good for humans and race horses, why not dogs???

I didn’t get a lot of crafting done but I made a good start. And no taxidermy came home. Yay! Only one bin of juicers, two vintage/antique telephones, a barrel that’s been in the living room but we’ve never ever noticed, and 3 stools. One of the stools is so tall that at its lowest setting that sitting on it I’m taller than when I’m standing up! I could tell because I could see all the dust on the mantel I can’t see from my 5’2” height. FIL also revealed that he’s selling the house (when we’re done emptying it).

Hello Divas! I hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was ok - there was a power outage in my building on Thursday and when it came back a power surge fried our verizon fios power supply so it needed to be replaced. We lucked out and a technician was able to come out on Friday and my husband was home to deal with it. Unfortunately, they needed to move this huge desk/hutch/storage piece which means DH had to empty it. He gave almost no care or thought to how he did it. I know there was a time issue but gees...it was a disaster. I spent most of the weekend putting everything back. It did give me the chance to get rid of things we didn't need or use anymore. But coming off such a long work week, it was the very last thing I wanted to deal with. We did go out to dinner last night which was nice. kitbop - I am glad you had fun camping! Happy Belated Anniversary! Did you figure out a low key way to celebrate? joblackford - nice work selling things last week!! I'm sorry I laughed when you said there was a wheelbarrow in your FILs living room you never noticed. Woohoo for no taxidermy.

One of the things that came home this week from the in-laws’ was a new desk for ME! It’s a mid century modern desk with drawers, a big upgrade from my Costco folding table. The chair might take some getting used to, and it’s a sit down desk - I used to have my folding table at standing height but I have another table I can access if I really want to stand.
So I should be able to earn some organizing points in the next few days!
Hopefully I’ll get some crafting done too. I mailed 3 cards previously made today.

No one should worry about points totals. We're glad you are a team player Linda. I too had a low scoring month. Haven't added it up yet, but I know it's low. Anyone else ready to chime in? PM me if you want, or post here, or direct me to the official thread where we are *supposed* to keep track...

Hello! Because I’m still fairly new to this and the forum is a pain to navigate on my phone - how do I upload my projects to show what I have done and where.. (or do I just tally my points?) I can’t use my Flickr at present because it’s full.. thanks!

kitbop - I need to recalculate - I forgot there was a no-spend challenge so plus 300 pts for 725 Ren - you don't have to upload - you just don't get the 1 pt/project for sharing. I share from FB - I make an album set to only me, load pictures there, and then right click to copy image address. Then here in the reply box up top, I click the image icon (looks like a photo) and paste the address in. It's usually huge so afterwards I'll go back and edit my post, click on BBCode, and replace 100% with 40% for all the images

Ren - as Linda says, no requirement to share although we do enjoy it I have a free Flickr account. I upload to that (so easy) and share from there - it's a click and paste and you can choose which size you want to use on the boards. Flickr also doesn't use up any of the "space" on this message board. I'm not at ALL literate in BBcode or how the size limitations work or what terminology I should be using here!!! I just know every now and then someone pops in to the boards and asks us to delete our old images. If you host on Flickr, you don't need to delete anything because your images aren't actually "here". Linda - thanks for reminding about the no spend challenge - I get max points for that one

I can’t use my Flickr at present because it’s full.. thanks! There's a monthly sharing thread I'll tag you in where you can post a link or a photo. Since you generally share photos on IG that might be the easiest way to do it. Just navigate to your instagram on your computer, click on the picture you want to share, copy the link from the URL bar, and paste it straight into your post. It will show up after you post.

I finished August with 90 points. I started off fairly strong—I think I got all 90 in the first week of August. Then I hit a slump and did do much the rest of the month.
