Well hello y'all. Who's ready for Christmas? The 2 Peas Annual Card Swap will open for sign-ups on October 1st. It will stay open untill October 20th.The sign up will be stuck to 1st page of the NSBR Board. PUT THE DATE IN YOUR CALANDER.
Some information and please don't hash up previous years...positive only and moving forward please. -You will get two emails once the sign-ups close. One for review and then one a week later with any corrections. The second email will be your card list. -You send how many ever you want to. 1, 10, 50,100 and on and on. -Cards can be homemade or store bought. Rudeness or hate, you WILL BE BANNED FOR LIFE. -Try to send cards out for those to enjoy throught the holidays. Many Pea's send them after Thanksgiving and the first week of December. I've received several after Christmas and loved getting holiday mail untill January. -Pro Tip, start putting money aside for stamps NOW. Helps not getting hit with a large amount come time. -We usually have 100-130. For US Peas about 20-25 international.
Anything else??? Thank you for this, it is a family favorite. Even my grown daughters look forward to it every year. Stay safe, stay well and be nice.

The benefits definitely outweigh the cost. I refuse to let one or two assholes destroy the joy this project brings every year. Especially since I think we'll still be somewhat isolated this Christmas due to the pandemic. I'm forever in! I've picked my papers and I'm ready to start choosing sketches.

My craft goal in May was called Merry May. I made Christmas cards almost every day. I have 123 ready to go. SO HAPPY it's on again this year. I'M READY AND EXCITED.

Looks like a lot of fun! I already signed up for the birthday card swap - and I will be making homemade cards for that... even though I'm not a card marker, eeekk! As for the Christmas card swap, I'd be taking the store bought route.

I think we will need the card swap more than ever this year! I don't think I am going to be able to travel to my family this year. It'll be my first year away from my hometown ever. I've lived away for 16 years, but always go back. Its already making me sad.

I’m not sure how this card swap works I just joined do you mail out cards to people on a list or do you exchange homemade cards for others to give? Thanks in Advance! You'll get a list of all the peas who have signed up by the deadline later in the year, then you mail cards to as many or as few as you want/are able to. Some peas mail to everyone, some mail to a smaller group dependent on time or finances. The cards you send can be hand made or store bought. Many of the peas are not ones I know or speak with often so I usually just put a generic Christmas message in the cards I send. I joined two years ago for the first time and loved getting cards from all the peas. I had planned to be away this Christmas so now my plans have had to change I'm really looking forward to some happy mail throughout the season.

Hi, Everyone follows a link enters their mailing info and email. Once the sign-up closes we email the list to everyone. Then you make or buy as many holiday cards for the list. It's just for each Pea to have in their home.

It’s always a lot of fun picking up piles of holiday cards every day for a month or longer. The staff at my post office still comment about the first year I signed up because my tiny PO Box was SO FULL of lovely handmade cards. I already bought a bunch of stamps including some for international - the poinsettia round global stamps are awesome. I know some people don’t care what kind of stamps they use/receive but I love to choose really fun ones. Highly recommend ordering through usps online. Shipping is very cheap and they have far more selection than your local post office. Border Canadian Peas might not be able to pop across the border to mail cheaper this year though
