I'm looking for something to spray over a Distress Oxide background that has a fine mist so it will shimmer. No blobs. What have you tried that you like? Or is there a better technique to get a shimmery Distress Oxide background?
Thanks!

I think it might be less a particular spray and more technique. I use Glimmer mist, and some Ranger stuff too, (Pearl mist? I can go check) and I get a much finer mist when I spray from further away. I use a pizza box for this (they were nice enough to give me one one time when I was getting take out, like 3 years ago, lol) and make a sort of "spray booth".

I think @kendramage is onto something. I find the quality of the sprayer also matters. I really like the Ranger Mini Misters for a nice spray. I just transfer some of the product into the mini mister and go to town

The shimmer spritz by the brand "Pssst" is great for this. It lays down a super fine mist and makes the surface evenly sparkle. I'm almost out of mine and recently saw you can order it on Amazon.

Also if you have some Perfect Pearls laying around, you can put some of that with water in a bottle and make your own mist.

Thank you everyone! I think I will try some of the Ranger mini misters first as I have a number of products here, just not getting the results I'm looking for.

Awesome—thanks again! Although I do have to admit I’m laughing at the fact the blog post is from 2011 and it’s says mists are all the rage! I guess trends really do come and go—and then come back again!

That looks exactly like the one I referenced, but when I searched it on Amazon it said branded "Pssst". Either way, it is amazing stuff! I'm glad to know it comes in this size as my bottle is much smaller.

Tsukineko Shimmer mist works great. Make sure you shake it up well. Perfect Pearls in a mini mister with a little distilled water works awesome too! More economical as you can a lot of the spray and the Perfect Pearls comes in lots of colors. Mini misters have a fine spray like Tskukineko's. Jennifer Mcguire has a bunch of videos that she makes the spray up with Perfect Pearls.
