This is a spin off of something mentioned in the Maggie Holmes post.
Words I no longer want to see in scrapbook lines: Shine, Dream, Hello, etc. I actually used "Shine" recently but now I'm over it. I don't need to shine anymore. I've also used "Hello" before, but now I'm done. I've never used "dream". I've never used "inspire". So many of the phrases are just... ugh. It isn't bad if you are only doing one scrapbook page but I've done hundreds and my books would look stupid with the same words on every page.
What words and phrases are you done with? What words and phrases would be more useful?

As an optimistic, glass half full person, all the inspirational words in this hobby make me want to puke. They are so insipid and used over and over and over. The Miriam Webster dictionary sitting behind me is 2” thick. Surely they can find different words.

I want to buy products that are different from what I already have.

I can't remember what product it was that I acquired recently but it has multiple instances of 'best day ever.' The irony...
Dream is another one I don't ever use.
Hello... maybe on a card, not on my scrapbook pages.
I need more 'okayest mom ever' and 'today I'm going to give it my some' sorts of sentiments.

I’ve never used Shine or Bright or Shine Bright Like A Diamond (or any diamond imagery, blech).
Sick of: -All who wander are not lost. Seriously, there has to be another travel/wilderness/camping quote out there! -every summer has a story -progress not perfection -cozy -bloom & grow ( together or individually) -girl boss (I’m a fully grown woman, thank you very much, and “girl” is very offensive to me because it is often used in a demeaning fashion when referring to women in the workplace) -but first coffee -books & coffee -anything coffee -boys will be boys -a little dirt never hurt -all the cliche boy stuff -rad I’m sure there are more!
Best Day Ever doesn’t bother me though. It makes me think of Tangled, and that makes me smile. Plus, if today is the best day ever, and then tomorrow is better, it becomes the new best day ever. So technically, every day of your life could be the best day ever. Sappy, I know.

I would like some words and phrases of the past. They're already dated, so I find them amusing instead of tiresome as I do when designers try to keep up with modern slang. I would also like some words for adults.
If anyone is listening, I would like the following, preferably in Thicker form, black, no glitter:
The bee's knees The cat's meow The cat's pajamas 'Twas brillig Impeccable Sumptuous Superlative Marvelous Ultimate Shenanigans Shindig Persnickety Wingding Hullabaloo Bamboozled Kerfuffle Canoodle Hanky Panky Tickety-boo Flabbergasted Fiddlesticks! Mother of Pearl! Heavens to Betsy! That's the ticket!

I would to see more words/phrases about;
Love between couples - It's just the two of us in my household, yet I barely have any stamps I can just use to embellish a photo about love between two people. All that seems to exist is 'love this' or 'love this life' - I would like to see more about love for a specific person.
Alcohol - loads out there about food, very little about having a glass of wine together or enjoying a couple of beers. We enjoy a drink without getting absolutely plastered and I'd like to document it. All I have is two stamps - 'drinking' and 'cocktails'. It's not enough!

I really liked the recent Ali Edwards story kit/stamps for "we" and "you" for couples.

Yes I would like more versions of "cheers!" and even with somewhat of a sarcastic tone...like hey this day sucks, but we are ending with happy hour! I agree w/ most on the fluffy words. I need more real life stuff. I actually did just buy 2 of Ali Edward's stamp sets, the "tough" one and "ups and downs" bcz they are what I am reaching for right now. I need more middle of the road...things aren't always rainbows and sunshines, but its not necessarily "bad day", which I guess things like 'real life" or "right now" kind of work. I like the idea of labels for events, like small events like "daily walk", "walk the dog", "fresh air",etc. Not every moment is grandiose and defining, but still part of story, important to me. And I also need more descriptive words for food. (besides yum and yummy!)

-every summer has a story ohmygosh, I hate all this kind of summer sentiments! I know I'm probably in the minority, but summer in AZ means staying inside with the shades down, like a mole or a mushroom. My 'summer story' would be something like "I burned the hell out of my hand when I put my seat belt on after I forgot to put the sunshade in my car" lol!! (and that's NOT something I'm going to memorialize on a SB page.) More descriptive words for food would be great!! I do use words like details, recorded, etc. but I typically use small word stickers in my embellishment clusters. And if I don't have what I want, I'll just use my typewriter or a set of small alphabet stamps. I'm pretty much over 'large' words and phrases, in general. (and where did the 'shine like a diamond' crap come from, anyway? did some designer watch Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes while they were designing that very first collection to use it, or what??) ETA: I wish the phrases about caffeine were about *caffeine* and NOT always coffee. I detest coffee, tea, and any other hot drink. I drink diet soda. But I DO have caffeine every day, as part of my morning routine. "But first, caffeine" instead of "But first, coffee" (I know, it sounds more awkward, but I can't be the only one who doesn't drink coffee for my caffeine.)

Totally agree with abolishing #girlboss and #bossbabe.
Women are managers. It's not unusual and it doesn't need to be called out as "girl" or "babe". It also makes me think of multi-level marketing and desperate Instagram posts and come ons. Ugh. I also don't like hashtags in general.
I, too, am not a coffee drinker. In the past, I have been happy to find unlabeled take out cups and and steaming mugs, but lately, it seems like every steaming mug/cup has something about coffee or hot chocolate or pumpkin spice. Leave 'em blank and versatile, I say. I do get happy when I find something with bubble tea/boba on it, though there is only so much of it I can use. "But first, boba" 😁

I could live quite happily if I never saw "blessed" on another scrappy supply. "Blessed" makes me think of humble bragging and it always brings to mind a song from "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" called "I'm a Good Person". In it, Rebecca is being completely obnoxious and overall demonstrating how she is NOT a good person. At one point, she makes a hashtag with her fingers and says insincerely "hashtag humble and blessed"! I won't post the song due to what some may find offensive language and gestures, but it's pretty catchy. Here is the relevant snippet: humble and blessed

As a mom to a dramatic middle schooler, I’d love less BFF stuff and get some sentiments involving “frenemies to the end” LOL 🤦🏻♀️
I have a soft spot for Best Day Ever. My ASD kiddo has declared so many days as the best ever. My favorite being the one pediatrician appointment in which he had a couple unexpected shots. He started moaning and fussing at the news, and as soon as it was over he said “is that all? This is the best day ever!” 😅 Can’t argue with that kind of enthusiasm. ❤️
