I wanted to post this sketch tonight for people in earlier time zones, but I just now finished my example, and cannot photograph my layout as it's pitch dark out! Tomorrow AM, I will post my layout for anyone who wants to see my take on this. I found this layout by Missy Whiddon, and really liked the design basics - grid background represented by circles and stitched lines. missy whiddon layout by kirstendrew, on Flickr So I created a sketch out of it, changed it to a more 4x6 photo since that's what I typically use, added rough areas where embellishments/clusters would exist in my world, and went to town! Here's the sketch of it. my sketch by kirstendrew, on Flickr Editing: Here's mine! I like it better this morning in the daylight. It felt dark last night. This morning, I was thinking this layout would be so easy to mix up by changing the size of the shapes, and shape of the shapes, in the background. layout skink encounters by kirstendrew, on Flickr If you use it to create a layout, please post here so I can see!

Here is mine. I used the 'Queen Bee' kit by Becca Bonneville, various styles by Mommyish and Sahin Designs, plus a stamp I made. Thanks for the inspiration kitbop. I am also going to use this layout for another challenge at The Lilypad, where we had to choose a paper layout to scraplift.

Fun sketch, kitbop! Love how you and AussieMeg used it. Hoping to get into the Gallery sometime today to look at each in more detail and leave some love...

Used this sketch for the second page. even added some faux stitching. Heaven knows what would happen if I tried machine stitching on a scrapbook page ... The first is really just a pile of photos, but I tried to tie it in with the second with some circles and some papers from the same collection. Crafty & happy by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
