My Black & Decker toaster oven just died after, almost, daily use for 4 years. My previous B&D lasted over 10 years with roughly the same usage. Do you have a toaster oven you love? I’ve been going down an Amazon rabbit hole. TIA!

Cuisinart air fryer/toaster oven, hands down. We got one for the lake cabin and like it so much we want one for our house too, but we’re waiting until Costco or someone has a good deal on it again. I think we paid $159 at Costco.

I was looking at that one on Amazon but some of the reviews (knobs broke easily, didn’t control/maintain temperature, burned everything) had be second guessing. I’m guessing you’ve never had any of these issues if you’re looking to buy a second one.

There is a bit of a learning curve to it because it does get very hot, very fast so if you’re used to making something like a pizza in a traditional big oven it would maybe catch you off guard and your stuff could burn if you weren’t watching it closely the first couple times. DH kept wanting to bake a frozen pizza with the time and temp listed on the package, and I had to tell him more than once to NOT put it in for more than eight minutes or it would burn. Other things will cook faster too, because it’s convection. It’s just like anything, you have to really pay attention the first few times you make something new to see how long to leave it in. But overall we love it.

Breville makes amazing products. We love their countertop convection oven with a toasting feature but we use it mainly as an oven. It holds 12" frozen pizza, a tritip roast, several baking potatoes and prevents us from turning on the large oven much of the time.
We also have their toaster. Love that thing!

For those of you that have the Cuisinart air fryer/toaster oven combo, do you find it hard to clean after air frying?
I hate my current toaster oven and we don't use it a ton, but would miss having one if we got rid of it. Meanwhile, I've been looking at air fryers but don't want to add yet another big appliance to the countertop - hence, I'm looking for a good combo unit and then I can get rid of my current toaster oven. My biggest stumbling block is the potential cleanup of grease everywhere...and the rack & basket are not dishwasher safe on the Cuisinart.

I have a small black and decker one.. about $50. my kitchen is small.. and it fits into the space. it does everything I need to do. I have used a breville a lot.. and I really don't prefer it at all. it is just over the top.. but that is just me.

I have the farberware toaster oven air fryer from Walmart. I absolutely love it. I use it for steaks, sausages, baking cakes, quick breads, frozen breaded foods, veggies, biscuits, and more. I almost never turn my regular oven on in the summer.

Most people loved theirs, except for the pines that had pieces break off!🥴 Sam’s sells a Emeril brand one, that I’m considering. My normal toaster oven still works, so I have time to wait for a sale.😉

I decided to go read the reviews on the one I had and it didn't get the greatest reviews. I liked it but am a little ticked it died so soon, that's why I'm not ordering it again. Why doesn't anything last anymore? ? Except my @!(^%&^& LG front load washing machine. I want that thing to die SO BAD so I can go back to a top loader that doesn't take an hour and 50 minutes to wash a single load of clothes. But noooooo that thing will last forever just to spite me!

My only grumble with cleaning it isn’t really with the unit itself but more with my DH who didn’t have the sense to put a piece of parchment paper under the pizzas he has cooked in it, so the cheese dribbled off the sides and completely burned on the little removable pan thing that sits at the bottom. I can’t get the burnt crap off now to save my soul. I haven’t had a problem with cleaning grease spatters inside the oven itself. I put parchment under my pizzas in the big oven too because cleaning that burnt up mess from the bottom of any oven is a PITA.

Our countertop oven must be at least ten years old and I love, love love it. Already mentioned loving the toaster. My most recent Breville purchase was the large capacity food processor. What a workhorse. I do a lot of big batch cooking and it is a high quality appliance I am very happy with as well. that said, I hope you like your Cuisinart!

Have you tried soaking the burnt area with vinegar, sprinkling with generous amount of baking soda and topping with more vinegar and letting it sit for a bit before scraping off the burnt mess? Actually, before doing that I might pour boiling water on it from the kettle. ETA - I meant to say... have your DH do it!

I try to keep him away from the sink because every time he tries to help me out I just end up having to do it over myself anyway. (His mother same way so that apple didn’t fall far from the tree.) And then he gets mad because he “didn’t do it good enough” for me! No dude, if I can still feel grease on the stuff, you clearly didn’t, LOL.

I’ve had the cuisinart. It was fantastic. Then I got the breville and it’s even better. I can’t go back. Better overall or better especially for certain things you cook? And better how? crazy4scraps Try a ketchup and baking soda paste. Let it sit and scrub with it.
