If you have a Scan 'n Cut, you can easily make a shadow for your word dies. Just trace the word die on a piece of paper, scan it on the Scan 'n Cut, and save it. Then when the machine cuts it out, it is a shadow. I have a Happy Birthday die that often gets lost on a busy background but I made the shadow to put behind it and it doubles how useful it is.
I put a note in the sleeve where I keep the die of the number it is saved under on the Scan 'n Cut. This way when I get the die out to use, I know exactly where to find the shadow.

For those with a less steady hand, instead of tracing it onto paper, you could also just cut it from a dark color of card stock, and use that to create your shadow cut file.

Such a simple why to get that shadow yet I never gave it a thought. Thanks for the tip.

I really like that idea! I have a scan and cut and I swear I only know how to use 5% of it!

I definitely need to do this with my die cut words! Thank you. I tried it out one time using a black cut out word, but I should've either saved it or mass produced a bunch to use on cards.
And I should play around with using it to cut around big bold stamped sentiments to create my own sentiment die cuts. I guess I could save those too.
Honestly, I have been really lazy with this kind of thing. I think about getting alpha dies and then think, no, just use the SNC, but then I never do either! lol. So lazy...
