I am in the market for a new printer. I have two printers right now, both more than 10 years old. Ink has gotten so expensive that it costs more than the printer did. I have resorted to using knockoff ink from Amazon. But I think I need a new printer. Specs:able to scan but not photo quality, be able to handle cardstock, preferably front loading, under $200. Any recommendations?

Are you interested in a larger format printer? I love my Canon's that can print up to 13x19. Canon does have a model that will print a true borderless 12x12. Mine will print a 12x12, but not borderless - but that has not been an issue for me. I LOVE being able to print those big sheets! I use the EZ Ink from Amazon and it is so inexpensive - like $1/tank. Amazing quality. These do not have scanners though.
I have a smaller Canon 922 that has a great and easy to use scanner and it uses the same ink tanks my big one does - so very inexpensive to print. Always set to the highest quality. I can use the sheet feeder to scan pages, so it is good in my office!
