Sorry if this is a duplicate thread. I'm new here and still figuring out this site! BUT! I wanted to share my excitement over the 1,080-piece chipboard set that's now available on HSN.com from newly launched basics line, Kingston Crafts. Eeeee! I saw this on Instagram and while I think its a good idea, its coming from Inked Brands and I have serious questions about the quality. Inked is known for its hit or miss quality. I will wait and see reviews before I bite. I do hope its good though.

I like the chipboard, but I wish they offered each shape separately. I want all the stars, but have no use for butterflies and don’t use many hearts either.

I just discovered this company and I really like hearts, stars, and butterflies! I saw them used here and then went down the instagram hole and went to the company's account. There's not much there right now.
I'm not in a rush to buy. I have too much stuff right now!

That chipboard box looks so cute! I just placed an order with HSN though so I definitely don’t need to place another. Had I seen this before I ordered though, I would’ve been tempted. Interesting how the name is now Kingston Crafts and there is no mention of Studio Calico or Inked in the description...wouldn’t they theoretically want to leverage their popularity in the scrapbooking and crafting community?  |

I'm here to report that I LOVE the chipboard!  The quality is very nice. The pieces are smaller than I expected, but not a problem, it is perfect for smaller album pages or PL. There are some bigger pieces also. It is a firm but thin chipboard, which works out perfect for me, I prefer that over the thicker stuff. I love all the colors. Even the box is a nice quality. I was expecting kind of cheap cardboard, but no, it is a thick sturdy box with a lid. Better quality than the photo boxes that Michaels sells. The dividers are cheap cardboard, but I don't care about that. The dimensions of the box are 6.5 x 8. I also got the square frames because of the sample that @refugees posted about. It was too cute! |
