ETA: And not sure if Admin posted about this in the instructions regarding Flickr, but if you click on a layout, it gives you an extreme closeup look.  |

The link is at the very top of the page, under the blue header... it says gallery and opens the Flickr group in a new tab. |

I joined Flickr but would need to actually accomplish something at my scrapbook table in order to have something to post I guess I will have to learn to take pictures and then learn how to put them on the computer and then learn how to get them on Flickr. That's right I am not a scrapbooker, all sorts of other paper crafting though. |

I joined - turned out I had a flicker account and was in a group I totally forgot about! I love the first layouts posted. I never posted in the previous gallery but it will be nice to see everyone's work.

I was so excited when I saw the announcement about having a gallery and then so sad to learn it's not a gallery but a Flickr group. Didn't we already have one set up? It's better than nothing but realistically I doubt it will get used as much as a regular gallery since everyone has to go create accounts and link, bounce back and forth , etc.
What do you all think? Will you use it?

Will you use it? A group still functions like a gallery. There was no Flickr group set up before this one, unless there was one from the old 2Peas. Having a stand-alone gallery associated with this site would be very costly and time consuming... webspace costs a lot of money, programming in the gallery would either take someone a lot of time or cost money to hire. The Flickr group acts as a stand-alone gallery. You don't need to bounce back and forth, any more than you would if there was a gallery associated here with the message board. You can favourite, Pin, email, etc layouts from the Flickr group and also leave comments on the projects. It truly is a gallery. |

Do you have to have a yahoo account to join Fliker? It's been a while since I signed up, but I seem to recall being annoyed that I had to set up a Yahoo account. I think at the time I had already registed and used Flickr for a while and still had to sign up for Yahoo. I receive no Yahoo mail or spam. I don't even know my log in information as once I signed into Flickr it's remembered my info, and it's been ... a LONG time since I've ever had to sign in again. Making a new account initially was annoying and slightly inconvenient, but since then it's not been a problem in any way. So, I hope if anyone wants to join, signing up doesn't stop you! |

I like the Flickr gallery - so far it's easy to use and I'm motivated to check it out and comment.
I don't know if I'll upload anything - I didn't at 2peas and did at Lifetime Moments (usually for scrapfest accountability) - I'm such a simple scrapper and I don't use much that's up to date style/technique/product-wise and I'm more than a bit intimidated by all of you creative/artsy scrapbookers

I used to have a Yahoo account but when I try and log in, I am told it was deactivated and that I need to create a new one. When I try and create a new one it consistently just blanks out like I haven't entered anything...no error message, but it won't create an account either. So annoying.
