We had cheesy polenta with fresh spinach and chicken sausage. Delicious peanut butter oatmeal raisin cookies for dessert.
Thanks for the thread.

tracyarts I wanted to see the meteors this weekend too. DD & sil invited me to tag along camping with his nephews. It’s raining tonight. And supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow. I hate camping even under perfect conditions so it was a big no thank you tonight. cadoodlebug those sunsets are beautiful. PolarGreen12 the mantle looks great. I’m very into white decor currently so I’d paint the stone. Then probably something else next year. I love paint. christine58 I hope your day got better. My contractor showed today! He installed the tile on the bathroom floor until he ran out. So much for my math skills. I got the rest tonight. We’ll see when he returns again. Went to a patio for dinner. Had a spinach salad with shrimp, portobellos & onion rings on it. Started raining while we were there.

My dream is to paint the stone outside white and put cedar planks over the siding and some cedar detail on the front porch and then I’d also need all new windows with black trim. So as soon as I come into around 40k that’s my next project. 😂😂😂

shevy, we love kohlrabi sliced up and eat as snack with light salt. christine58, I hope tomorrow brings a better feeling for you. I've been stressed, tired, and maybe hormones coming into play with work, so understand on the verge of tears feeling. Nothing compared to your grief though. I had last of spaghetti squash at work. String of tornados causing damage 20 miles from place of work. Luckily no damage where I live.

I missed you all last night, as we were picked up early to go into town for dinner. It meant we had about half an hour to wander around, so I bought some postcards and some aftersun lotion and looked at little Greek summer dresses that will look lovely on a small girl in the coming Aussie summer. We went to a Greek restaurant that we visited on our last trip here, and the food was just as yummy as we remembered. I had a clam spaghetti, and we shared a pannacotta with chocolate sauce for dessert. All washed down with local wine, including a Vin Santo - local specialty dessert wine - that came complimentary with the bill. We then had to wait for our ride back to the resort, so we checked out a couple more shops and bought some fruit and wine for lunch and snacks. Watched some football when we got home, as our team was playing in European Champions league quarters. Sadly decided to call it a night at half time, as it was almost 11pm, only to wake up and find we had had the most amazing win in the history of the competition, winning 8-2! Next time, I am staying up for the full game, even if it goes till midnight.
