I'm getting back into it after a few year hiatus and was wondering when you all start your week? I was thinking Sunday-Saturday but now I'm thinking Monday-Sunday so the weekend can be together instead of spread over different layouts. I did a search on the board but either didn't type the right keywords or am inept with searching this message board (probably the latter) so please forgive if this has been asked multiple times.

I do Monday - Sunday so the weekend can be together like you said. Also I just feel like Monday is the start of a "fresh" week. It's that way in my planner.
That said, I've found that it's SOOOO much easier to not stress over the weeks. I don't number my weeks and instead just include the date range on the title card. That way I can adjust it a little if needed. Like if we go on a trip for 4 days I make that it's own spread and then the weeks around it would just be slightly longer to get back on track. I would also do it if I had three super slow weeks I would merge that into two "weeks." When you flip back through it and just see a date range you can't tell what days of the week that is and even if it's like 9 days you don't typically do the math in your head, but you COULD look it up if you really wanted to to know when something happened. I also adjust at the beginning and end of the year because my album always breaks at the year change (Dec 31/NYE celebration in previous album and Jan 1 starts the new one). Just my two cents.

I like that lasteve1 not noting the "week" so you can be more fluid with the dates. I know some weeks I don't take nearly as many photos as others and that would help those light weeks for sure.

I was just coming to post that I don't keep track of weeks because some are busier than others...and some are downright dull.

Like lasteve1 said, the current trend in PL has moved away from week numbering. Loads of people are doing it by month now, some even by season. It feels more natural, less rigid and allows for flexibility for those times when you have more (or fewer) photos. Welcome back to PL, jediannie ! Hope you have loads of fun documenting your everyday memories in one place again.

I find it much easier to do monthly, event-driven pages, even more so since March as my album content has dwindled due to the stay at home months. But I’m caught up with this year’s album!

Just last night I started working on embellishing, labeling and journaling my July PL. (Or I should say pocket pages. I use Becky Higgins page protectors and I love them but that is the only PL brand item I use.) I also do monthly. During the month I do a quick sketch of where I want my photos and pocket items, and at the end of the month I order the sizes I want. (Persnickety). I like staying caught up by the month, so that I am done by the next order. Well, I better get going with July! This month is just slipping away, which is weird because I have nothing but gobs and gobs of time. But as summer slips away I have been spending a lot of time outdoors.
PL just works for me. I did layouts in May to join in the team fun here and I hope to do it again soon, but I prefer PL. It's not very shareable here - nothing special, can look like a photo album with some captions at times. That's what I like about PL. In a crafty mood? Embellish away! Not in a mood? Capture those precious everyday memories.

I've never numbered the weeks. I just use dates.
If you want more definitive dividers, you could just go with months. You can do what you want then, but still have it clear what month of the year it was, if you find dates aren't clear enough for you.

I do my weeks M-Sun, but like others have said, it’s fluid and flexible, and I don’t number the weeks anymore. Enjoy getting back into it!

When I was doing weeks, I did Monday-Sunday but I stopped doing weeks in my yearly book. I still go in chronological order, but I just record what I want and that gets a page. I usually have about the same amount of pages as I did with a weekly book.

I still do weekly and I just do Mon-Sunday it made sense to me to keep the weekends together. I usually keep it to a to a 2 page spread but sometimes I add a 6x12 insert if I need some extra space, like when my dd graduated. But in all my years of doing PL like this (2010,2012,2013-2018,2020) I've only added 4 of those extras. I keep it to weekly highlights.

I have done both, and definitely prefer Monday to Sunday. It is nice to see how the weekend fits together, and it's how my mind works. It felt really weird to document the week starting on a Sunday, I only made it through half of the year that time (2016).

I don’t do ‘weeks’ at all in my PL I also do months and by event.
I keep my memory planner by weeks though and that I do Mon-Sun because I like the extra space at the weekend incase there is an additional picture I want.

Thanks everyone! I've noticed since we started shelter in place I have taken multiple photos a day whereas before I hardly remembered to take one photo a day so I have tons of pictures now to go through that's what inspired me to start doing PL again. And also watching hours of process videos on YouTube and having years worth of project life cards helps too.

I'm in the minority but I do Sunday-Saturday. No idea why I started that way exactly back in 2013 but that's what makes sense to me. It's also how I keep track/plan my fasting days & workout days but I started fasting in 2018, so it was probably my PL schedule that dictated that. I've also stopped adding in week numbers for the most part. I love the idea of being more flexible with the dates as needed. Whatever week has the 1st of the month does get a Monthly card for the new month but otherwise I just roll with it. I add inserts and full page layouts when I want like around trips, events, or when something momentous happens. I also include my OLW pages in my PL album. On the rare occasions I do an art journal page, I'll slip that in a page protector in the album too. I like to keep everything together and roll with whatever I feel like working on. I think that's part of why I've stuck with the project so long.
I do have huge gaps in some of my past albums. I had planned on going back and filling those in. A lot of that is now pictures with my ex so I'm not sure if I really will ever go back. Maybe some day. I've also kicked around doing more of a monthly type overview for those missing weeks and include him as little as possible. I figure it's my album and I can do what I want. For now, I'm focusing on getting caught up for 2020. I'm mid-June on PL and need to do July & August for OLW.

I go by whatever day the week the 1st of the year falls on. My week 52 includes the extra few days (and it works since there is a back page that I can include photos on rather than just making a filler page).

I start on Mondays, because I like the weekends to stay together, too. But I've also always considered Monday to be the first day of the week, from a logistical sense, since in theatre that's usually our "dark" day and it starts the week anew in that sense.
ETA: I also like that I can start working on my pages on Sunday afternoon/evening, which works well for my schedule.

I do Monday to Sunday, so the weekend days are together. It's a pet hate of mine that most calendars show Sunday to Saturday. I haven't started this year's PL yet - I haven't even decided on a format yet, and the year is almost over! I am thinking about doing what lasteve1 said. So instead of doing a two page spread for each week this year, just chucking whatever photos fit on two pages. Due to COVID I haven't taken nearly as many photos as I normally would have. Most of my photos are of taking the dog for a walk. There are only so many layouts I can do about that! ETA: Oooops old(ish) thread!

I found it too hard to do it weekly as most weeks are the same. I started doing it monthly a few years ago and it's so much easier now, in fact I am happy to report that I am pretty much up to date this year, something I could never achieve in past years.
