What are your plans for this year? How many cards are you planning to make? Will you participate in the 2Peas card exchange? Do you make 1 design or many? Do you use the stamps, dies and patterned paper you have on hand or are you tempted by all the new releases?
I don't have a number determined yet. My friend and I supply the local nursing home with cards so my share is 35. I'm still thinking about the card exchange and I may try to send some cards to some other nursing homes. My guesstimate is I'll need around 200 cards. I need variety while crafting so I only make a maximum of 8 cards per design. Usually it's just 6. So I need lots of designs. Which leads me to the final question - I'll use some of my stash, including stamps and dies that were purchased last year but didn't get used. There have been a few purchases already but most of the stamp companies don't do their Christmas releases until September. The temptation will be great and resistance will be futile. I only have 6 designs picked out already so I need to get my creative juices going!
Your turn.

Wow, that’s a lot of cards between now and Christmas. I only need about 100 and they’ve been done since the end of June but that doesn’t mean I won’t be making more especially if some of the new releases catch my eye.
I like variety, so very rarely do I duplicate a design. I use stamps, dies, patterned paper, an occasional sticker or two, ink blending, watercolors, colored pencils, etc.
I thought about the card exchange here but that’s a lot of cards and postage expense and I’m not comfortable giving out my personal info.

This will be my 3rd year participating in the 2PR swap and I'm just as excited as ever! There seems to be around 130 (average if I remember right) who do the swap so I'll make at least that and maybe 40 more for family and friends. I probably won't buy too many new things other than envelopes (if I need them), cardstock and of course stamps. The last two years I've used my Cameo for my cards and will likely do the same this year. I use the same design for all my cards. Last year I did a LOT of stamping for my card design so I'll probably design something a little less tedious 😂. Here are my cards from the swap the last 2 years. I have a thing for houses and townscapes. I enjoy this more than December Daily honestly.

Last year I made a little over 200 Christmas cards over the course of the year. That was for our friends and family, the card exchange here and for Cards for Soldiers. This year my goal is 300. I used to make about 30 cards for co-workers but started working from home full time last year (and changed teams) so I only mail five or so to co-workers that are closer friends. I’m trying to work through my stash, but Christmas products are my weakness! I’m getting better at only buying one or two new kits or things each year. With all of my Tuesday Mornings closing/closed I will not be shopping as much at all Christmas cards are my favorite to make. I try to make them in batches of 15 - 20 of each design.

I love participating in the 2 peas card swap (Nicole, yours was one of my favorites last year!). I make cards for my aunt, she usually wants around 20 and I do 2 of each design for her. Other than that, I just make what comes to mind or if I see something I want to CASE. I plan on sending a card to all of my neighbors this year but I haven't thought about how many I'll need. I guess I should figure that out!
I have some favorite sets from prior years but in all honesty I do buy new stuff every season. I just can't help myself!

I usually make and send about 75 cards to friends and family. Joined the 2 Peas exchange a couple of years ago, but decided against it last year. Not sure if I will jump in this year. Guess it will depend on how many cards I can put together.
Don't start making them until October. The last few years I have gotten together with a small group to put together some card kits. I get bored easily, so seldom do I make more than 8 or 10 of the same design. I let the papers and supplies talk to me to see what designs I will make. And like designs, I use a variety of techniques: diecuts, inking, stamping.
Have a huge stash of Christmas scrappy supplies. I keep promising myself I won't buy any more, and then I see something I love, and... So far this year I have purchased only the PhotoPlay gnome line, including a card kit and extra diecuts. I have collected a fair variety of gnome dies and stamps over the year, so I predict that no matter what design I end up making, there is a good probability that there will be at least one gnome on each card.
I am inspired by card designs I see here, other places on line, in magazines. Hoping to get lots of ideas during CARDtober.

I’m itching to start on Christmas cards. Actually I already have - I repurpose as many of the cards I get during the Pea card swap as I can, cutting the fronts off and making them into new cards to donated to the Caring Hearts Card Drive and/or Bring Smiles to Seniors. I usually have about 100 repurposed cards ready in the first part of the year and then I make more as the mood strikes/to use up supplies I have. I think I donated 225-250 the last couple of years.
I make between 25 and 40 cards for family and people I know. Last year I did a ScanNCut card but many years I do a homemade photo card.
I have a habit of changing designs even when I intend to mass produce, and then I overthink who gets which card. Even with the cut file cards I used different shades of blue and then had to choose who got which one. Gah! So I try to do all the variation with cards I donate - I don’t have to worry about who gets which of those.
My plan for this year was to design/draw a card of my own in Procreate and print them for the Pea swap. I haven’t made a lot of progress on that yet.
I like big bold stamps and dies. My favorite is a big round ornament die and stamp set. I’m going to try that out with some different colors and papers this year. I’m always tempted by new supplies but I try not to buy too much. I got a stencil and embossing folder last year that I haven’t used much, and there’s so much I could do with the supplies I have. I usually make a bunch of cheerful Doodlebug cards, some clean and simple cards, and some artsy stamped and die cut cards. I could never choose one design and make more than about 25 of them, and even then I usually vary them!

Love to make Christmas cards. Usually I can make 40 or so cards. Every year, I say I am going to start early and make Christmas cards but I don't...Definitely will participate in the 2 peas card exchange again, but I'm not sure if I will make my cards or just use store bought cards. One year, I actually handmade every card (over 120 cards I believe) and I had a great time doing it but it just takes a long, long time, so I'm not sure if I'll have the time this year.
September is one of my favorite months for being a card maker, I love seeing all the new dies and stamp sets that come out for the Christmas season. Also, every year I say I'm not going to buy any new releases and just use what I have but I always end up buying something.
This year, I have a cricut again, so I may use that to make my cards.

I regularly send about 30 cards to family and friends. I worked on them a few months ago during our lockdown when work was quiet. I make the same design. This year I used dies from Papertrey Ink.
Last year I took part in the 2 Peas swap. I used a Silhouette cut file since I was making multiple cards and didn’t want to hand stamp or die cut everything. Not sure if I will sign up for the swap this year. I’m tempted but am not sure what the postal situation will be. We are certainly having fewer flights at the moment and there are delays in shipping from the UK and US. I do enjoy making cards though so I may just join in.

Last year I did not make Christmas cards for the first time in a long time. This year I'll be going old school for the friends/family - of which I will make about 30. I'm using a Stampington stamp, which I've loved forever and will be using distress oxides for the background. I can't find a picture that will let me link, but if you google "Stampington Allegro" you can see the stamp.
I'm contemplating the card swap, but if I go ahead, it will have to be clean and simple, and probably more than one design. I get bored so easily I don't want to rope myself into something I know I can't complete.

I buy my Christmas papers a year ahead when they go on sale at HL or wherever. I like to start my cards in the summer so I like having new stuff ready by then. I make about 200 cards and make about 20-25 of each design. I do have a Silhouette and have used that in the past. I think this year, though, I will find a couple of cute new stamps to use. I love making Christmas cards. My Pinterest board is full of them!

Did you all see the “Christmas Card Bank” videos that Justine Hovey, Ardyth, it’s me JD, Laurel Beard and Ingrid Blackburn posted on YouTube? They all did 4 or 5 finished cards but there was tons of inspiration for holiday cards and just for regular cardmaking too. It was great because each of them took totally different approaches with mixed media, dies, personalization, and mass production. Hopefully this link will work but otherwise just search Christmascardbank or go to one of those channels to find the links. m.youtube.com/results?search_query=Christmascardbank

I usually make about 40 cards, 12 of which are for a card exchange that I participate in (not 2Peas). I make different designs, because I get bored if I make more than 6 cards with the same one. I use all kinds of tools and materials (dies, stamps, patterned papers, etc.). I usually buy one or two new things for Christmas crafting, but I have so much already that I'm not tempted by much.
I'm thinking of making some extra cards this year (because I'll have the time) to send to card campaigns and drives.

lindas I’m combining Echo Park A Lumberjack Christmas, A Gingerbread Christmas and Carta Bella A Farmhouse Christmas. They all use kraft, red, black, green in a white base. I’m using the collection packs, 6x6 pads, and ephemera packs.

I need to get started on my cards, but I"m not sure of my design(s) yet. Have you seen the sheetload of cards. They are really good sketches and can make 6-8 cards with them. I think this is what I'm doing and have different embellishments.i have a lot of old paper I want to use up.

I participated in the two peas card swap for a couple of years and then took a couple of years off. I’m going to sign up this year. I have a bunch of supplies in my stash but that didn’t stop me from ordering more! I plan on starting this weekend.

We have hosts lined up for CARDtober, so there will be one card challenge per day on this board all next month. Lots of inspiration there, whether or not you decide to take on some or all of the challenges.
Still debating about the big exchange... Love making cards and receiving them... I have MORE than enough supplies. Just don't want to feel the pressure to get so many cards completed and into the mail on time. And in Canada it costs more than $1 to put a card into the mail...
