I know he will continue to tweet about how much better he did [whatever] or how much better he would do [whatever]. I’m just nauseated by all the crap he says now. I suppose it’s newsworthy because he’s the president, even though I think the press could really skip reporting the more juvenile bullshit.
Do you think they will continue to report his ramblings in order to increase ratings and clicks?

Oh trust me once Trump leaves office the press will drop him like a hot potato with Fox News being the 1st.

My guess is that they'll keep publishing as long as people keep clicking. I remember a scene in the Howard Stern biopic where they were saying that people who liked Stern listened for an hour a day and those that hated him listened for 3 hours a day. That's what this whole thing feels like to me.
I HOPE that once he's out of office, people will stop caring about what he says. As it stands now, his tweets are indicative of his policy plans, we can't really afford to completely ignore them, but once he's gone - I hope to never see his face again unless it's a news article about his arrest.

I hope he is banned by Twitter. Actually I'm hoping he is arrested and held without bail so that he doesn't even need to be banned.

He won’t go away!
If he tweets after his presidency is over, the media will still follow because he is entertainment. He will still have a lot to say once he is out of office. Although, if he gets tied up with legal lawsuits, his handlers may have to keep him quiet.

My hope is that the main stream media (you know, what he considers fake news) will stop reporting it.
I won't be at all surprised if he makes the move to create his own "news" network. That's what all the scuttlebutt was about leading up to the 2016 election, when no one thought he'd win. That he was going to launch that days after the election. Then of course, that didn't happen. My guess, it's still on the table.

I think they have already started to ignore a lot of the tweets. For example, I heard that he was tweeting a lot during and after the convention, but I haven't heard what those tweets said.
I think they will probably report the worst things or if they seem consequential, but the good news is that we can ignore it. Unless of course he says something that could cause serious issues abroad.

My guess, it's still on the table. I, too, wouldn’t be surprised if he creates his own network and related suite of media, a need he would feel more keenly now that he feels so outraged by Fox’s occasional lukewarm “betrayals”...and also feel more keenly if he loses a second term versus never winning. His influence (interference?) could be significant. At the least, it could continue to set a tone “example,” which is bad enough. He doesn’t even need (explicit) GOP support; he can just continue on in his merry populist way. Millions will follow. And if he’s successful enough, I would like to think the GOP wouldn’t use him as to raise funds and votes, but that might be a pipe dream. I can’t imagine that party can return to its ideological roots. I actually worry about this a lot, but one step at a time...

I wish they would stop NOW. It's ridiculous. The right-wing press doesn't shed any light on Dems, yet the media continues to call this guy "president Trump" and cover his every little BM.

I had a thought yesterday that made me gag. I think all Presidents have to plan their own funeral. Can you imagine what he has planned? I hope that if he is arrested the country will be spared whatever he has in mind.

Hopefully, like magic he will just fade away.
He will do everything he can to find the spotlight and will have his fan base. I think mainstream media will only cover him when he does something they and we can make fun of without the fear that he is going to start a war.

Republicans are just going to regroup, find someone just as morally compromising and idiotic that shares the beliefs of what we’ve seen in the last 4 years, and ramp up for 2024.
They’re going to keep dismantling the USA to make it easier for the wealthy in the US to become oligarchs and dismantle our government as we know it.
Republicans believe that the wealthy should lead, believe that they are smarter and knows what’s best for everyone else, including what region to have, who you can live, and what women do with their bodies.
We will need to keep on fighting, take the Senate, keep the House, elect Biden and take a small breather and gear right back up.

I have a theory that if he loses the election, Twitter will finally suspend his account. He violates the TOS so regularly that they had to put disclaimers on some of his tweets, but defended keeping him online because as president his tweets are considered part of his official record. Once he's no longer in office, he doesn't have that privilege, and they can jettison his account like have with other chaos agents and trolls.

I adore the idea of people looking back years from now at the official record of Presidents. Reading the well thought out, coherent, grammatically correct reasonings of great men, (or at least their speech writers), and then being subjected to hundreds of thousands of Trump‘s tweets. It should be part of the official record, to the shame of every last person who supported him in any way.
