I can't recommend. I have the Scotch atg and I am pretty happy with it. I don't have any problems using it, but that is not so say the smaller tool wouldn't be nice. I think it might just depend on your preference size-wise.

I use an ATG tape dispenser which I like but I would go with the grand ez runner dispenser. the EZ tape dispenses were my favorite but years ago they didn’t have refills or this grand size...I hated the plastic waste and cost so I bought the ATG gun.

I have the Grande EZ Glider and like that it is easier to handle than the ATG, and you can get different types of adhesive cartridges for it from Amazon (permanent, repositional, velum adhesive, etc)

I have both and I much prefer the EZ Grand. It never jams or breaks and it’s so much easier to change the tape cartridge. Since I got it a year or two ago, I haven’t used my ATG once.

I think I've purchased every kind of tape runner made over the years. I finally settled on the ATG. I'll admit it took some getting used to and there was some _(^&^&(()) language in learning to load it, but I don't use anything else now.

Like my ATG, have used it for years and can refill with no problem, but I haven't tried the other option.

The last time I did a cost comparison between the two machines you posted, the ATG was 1/3 the cost of the EZ Grand (for refills). This was using a sale price for both.

I have an ATG but only got that in the last few months and I'm leery of changing the tape lol. Like you I had to decide between the ATG and the EZ Grande - I'm probably still going to get an EZ Grande because of the ease of changing adhesive and because there are several types available. Sorry, no help! lol. But being able to get refills locally would also be a factor in my decision.

The tape can get stuck on the wrong side of the release paper on a new roll, but that is a five second fix. My friend has an EZ Grand and when we scrap together, she goes through about 3 rolls to my one. She must have a faulty one too because getting the refill to properly pull out of her runner takes quite a while.

Hi Everyone, Thank you for all of the great advice and suggestions. I really appreciate it. It was also good to take note and compare the cost of the refills. I will be purchasing the E-Z Glider from my LSS sometime next month (I'm kinda broke thanks to my recent scrappy purchases, LOL). They sell refills there too, and it is less than the ATG acid free refill (which is only available on Amazon). Anyway, after I try it out the E-Z Glider, I will let you know how I like it. I'm kinda nervous about changing the tape eventually... but there are always YouTube help videos for that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

Thanks so much, caangel The E-Z Grade refill has 140 feet of adhesive, and sells at $12.99 per roll at my LSS, or $12.59 via Amazon. The ATG acid free refill has 108 feet of adhesive, and sells for $14. 50 via Amazon. I'm just hoping my most recent LSS order arrives soon... I only have three tape runners left, LOL. I will use up my in-coming tape runners, and then try the E-Z Glider. Fun times ahead ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

There are way cheaper places to get the atg refills. I usually pay around 2 a roll I think.

I’ve had the same pink atg for about 10 years and I’ve never had any issues with it. I recently switched over to the cheaper rolls of adhesive from Tape Jungle and haven’t had any issues with those either. I love my atg.

You really should shop round more for the atg refills. I think I pay about $4 at Ms/Js with a 40% off for a box which has 2 rolls. That's if I don't go in on a group buy with scrappy friends for about $2/roll. I think they buy at Tape Depot or Tape Jungle.

I might need to go with the pink ATG afterall, LOL. Tape Jungle would send a case of tape up my way for only $45 US shipping... which is totally worth the price, as the tape is being sold for less than $2 US a roll - in comparison to $13 a roll x tax. This is a game changer for me. I am going to see if such bulk purchases are available from any Canadian distributor.

Another vote for ATG - i bought the red one before the pink one was an option. I’ve bought the gold acid-free tape in a big box from a framing supply company (try there in Canada) or the two packs at Michaels with a coupon. By the foot, it’s cheaper than any other brand. Cheaper if you don’t care about acid free.
I originally scrapped using Tombow refills, and various others. I’ve had retape many of those early 2000s layouts with ATG because they didn’t hold up.
There are lots of YouTube videos on how to load each of the 3 ATG guns (yellow, red, pink). I pull one up almost every time I load - when i don’t I skip a step.

On Amazon, you get the two rolls (36 yards-216 feet) for $8.88. I think the OP is not seeing that you get two rolls for the price. It does look like you are only getting 36 yards,, but in the package, you will get two rolls. At Michaels, I will get the two acid free rolls for $4 or $5 total depending on the coupon. So with a good sale, I get $2 per roll and get 36 yards/108 feet. The EZ Grand is more expensive per foot/inch.

I am another one that did not like the ATG. It just seemed like too big of a footprint.
