I was just wondering if it's worth my time to list things on eBay or if I should try here or Facebook groups. The for sale board here doesn't look super busy and neither do the facebook groups I've been seeing.

Good to know! I haven't sold on there in years and was wondering if it's gotten better for sellers and buyers. It sounds like it's better for sellers for sure if you're buying stuff! Ebay gets a lot of traffic and I sell and buy stuff on there all the time. Etsy is known more for handmade stuff but I buy a lot of craft stuff off there as well. I feel Etsy's fees are more than ebay and it is more like having a true storefront versus Ebay. Just pay attention to whether you want to have returns- I don't and I state that in the listing, plus I do buy it now. It's like fishing, just throw it out there and eventually it sells. Check other listings to see what the trending price is. I cleaned out my stash and sold a bunch of stuff so I could turn around and buy a bunch of stuff!

I just bought something scrapbook-related from eBay the other day.

I haven't sold anything since before Covid, but I went on a brief eBay buying bender while searching out discontinued OA and Crate Paper lines when I started scrapbooking again after lockdown I found quite a few items at good prices, and had good experiences with the transactions and shipping Etsy is another place to sell/buy sb supplies, esp discontinued lines

I scan Ebay regularly for discontinued lines that I am looking for, good deals on CM pages (I have several old cover sets I would like to use up) and I dropped a pretty penny recently on a retired Stampin' Up set that was a must have for me. Here is the thing, I am not on Facebook, and recently I tried to use Marketplace. I made a Facebook account and then tried to shop, only to find out that because my account was too new, I was blocked from shopping. Deleted my account and decided that if they didn't want my money, that was fine. So it is Ebay for me.

I think a lot of people have unrealistic ideas of resale value. That’s probably the biggest issues I see. I’m not gonna but a partial Ali DD kit for the price of a full one. 😒

Yeah, I've seen people posting partial past kits for outrageous prices. I just want the stuff out of my house and want it to go to a home that will use it instead of sending it to a charity shop. Me too. I think a lot of people have unrealistic ideas of resale value. That’s probably the biggest issues I see. I’m not gonna but a partial Ali DD kit for the price of a full one. 😒

Unless you are selling things that are very rare and still sought after, my experience is don't expect to get much for it on eBay. That said, there are bargains galore to be had for buyers though. You can also sell craft supplies on Mercari as well but they also take fees...probably about comparable to eBay.

I haven't found any good deals on eBay... as others have mentioned, I have found that older scrapbooking item prices are marked up super high.

I haven't since last year, but I had a LOT of CM stuff and sold it for at least what I paid, if not a bit more. I just found boxes of CM stuff I bought and am thinking of selling on ebay again. Everything sold without a problem.

I've had decent luck with FB buy/sell/trade groups. I only buy on ebay, lol.

I sell scrapbook items regularly on eBay and usually get the price I’m looking to get.
I have a bin of stuff that I need to list soon. I’m thinking of selling in lots to make it easier.
Good luck!

I sell scrapbook items on FB buy/sell groups and have had pretty good success there.

I sell on eBay regularly. I usually do auctions with a buy-it-now option and do pretty well. I price my stuff to sell and it usually does.
