Take out fish & fries. I have a fresh cob of corn to add to the meal.

I don't think I could date a chef leannec . My ego is much too big to date a man who cooks better than I do. I ended up making the ribs last night with mashed potatoes. My DS came for dinner. It was nice to see him. I was going to suggest breakfast for dinner tonight but Jeremy got home from work at 10 am and made breakfast. So I'm not sure what is for dinner tonight. I would totally date a chef. I’d never have to cook again! 😂 for real. I'd gladly be Sous chef!

I have having homemade (not by me...LOL) artichoke parmesan ravioli with artichoke pesto...going to toss in more artichokes. Nice cool day here today..my parents' headstone was placed at the cemetery last Friday--not sure why we weren't told. (monument place has been awesome so this is out of the ordinary). So my mom went down by herself and then sent a pic--it's 15 mins from here. It is beautiful but I kind of lost it when I saw the picture. UGH oh gosh my aunt did that to me with my grandmother's headstone and I lost it at work. I was so not ready to see that. I'm sorry for your pain.

updating that dinner is a chuck roast (I'd forgotten I had taken it down to thaw in the fridge!) so I browned it plopped it in the IP and dumped 1/3 the jar of Tomatillo Hatch Chile Salsa I picked up at Costco. I was way too mild for me so I'm trying to use it up.
The house smells divine, made some Mexican rice to go on the side and will open up a can of pintos. And I have a perfectly ripe avocado so all I need to do is pick a lime from the tree and dinner is set!

Good evening. Been a busy day, with not a lot of sleep, so butt is dragging. Still need to go to mom's to do a few chores, but going to do dinner first. We are having grilled steaks and will take some to mom as well. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Made chicken Parmesan on vegetables not pasta. It was ok. It didn’t have anything to do with no pasta. Dh is in a golf tournament the next 3 days so I think I’m solo. Unless dd#2 comes over. She’s super busy now. She’s had to report to school now. Students come staggered after 9/8. She’s also coaching cross country. Practice is 6 days now. It’s good she’s busy because her bf went back to the border and his visa was denied again.

I’d be totally down to date a chef who also did laundry, cleaning & yard work.
Kind of sounds like a wife.

I went back to work yesterday (I work for a public charter school that supports homeschoolers) and this feels like the first moment I have had. Buckle up for the new year, I guess!
Today our first Home Chef box came and I am SO glad I am going to use this service, at least for awhile. It is more than I usually spend on groceries but I am working full time and something had to give. I figured it would be better to spend a little extra than order pizza. So, we will try it until we don't like it anymore or it gets too spendy.
I'm making some kind of chicken veggie bake. I will like it for sure, my DH is 50/50 and my DD won't touch it. (She known she has to make herself something if she's not going to eat what I made) But, it will be a win/win either way. Either I will feed my family (win) or I will have healthy leftover for lunch tomorrow (win).

christine58, I visited my parents graves a couple months ago. I hadn't been in years. I still feel shock each time I visit. I can't believe they're not here w/me. As time goes by you will heal, but sometimes it still feels like a gut punch. ((((HUGS)))).

My MIL made corned beef for herself and for me, with potatoes, carrots, cabbage, white sauce. Nobody else in our households will eat it, so I never bother making it and she only makes it once every few years. When I was growing up we ate it regularly. And I had the leftovers for lunch today in a sandwich with tomato sauce. YUM!

My family is upstairs cleaning up. I am down in bed. I am nauseous, I have a headache and my stomach is upset. My dad wants me to make this dessert but I don’t have it in me. He isn’t getting it. Not to mention I hate blueberries. I hate cooking stuff I can’t eat. Maybe if I throw up I will feel better.
