Good morning. Today I have infusion #2 for the week. I might be getting another banana(vitamins and minerals) bag, as well. We're gonna do our takeout night tonight, because ods really wants nachos. I have a puzzle that is calling my name. First, I must vacuum.
What's on your menu?
**GypsyGirl**, I'm thinking of you today. Please let us know how you're doing. May the people of Texas be safe.
Have an easy, happy and safe day.

Today I had an appointment with my chiropractor, which was excellent as usual. Apart from that, I have been researching phone plans. My current phone is at least 4 years old, possibly 5 and is starting to lose battery charge really quickly. I decided fairly quickly on which phone I wanted, but then it came to comparing deals - plan with phone included or buy a phone and just get a plan, how much data, etc. Naturally, the 3 major providors here all offer different amount of data in their plans, making comparisons more difficult. Some have sign-on fees, some don't. I ended up making a spreadsheet with all the info and comparing the cost over 2, 3 and 4 years. I am down to 2 options now - same phone, same data plan, just whether I buy outright or get the phone on my plan.
Dinner tonight is spanikopita - I am not ready to let go of Greece just yet!

Having one of those days where I just can't get any forward motion going. Woke up with a nagging, stuffy head. Not a full blown sinus headache, but not normal either. Most likely due to the change in weather that's on the way. If I can get it in gear, I need to go through another carousel of slides. Might be a good activity since it involves sitting in a dark room! Not sure what dinner will be tonight. I may take some shrimp out and make tacos. It needs to be healthy. I was up on the scale today due to all the junk I've been eating for the past 3-4 days. scrapmaven - Thanks for your good thoughts. Late yesterday the predictions shifted the storm a bit further East, which took us out of the cone. There is a chance of tropical storm winds and 1-3" of rain, but we are getting off easy compared to what is coming for those in the path. Hopefully everyone has heeded the warnings and gotten to safer locations.

sueg, that is a lot of work! I applaud your efforts, though, because you'll end up with a proper phone and plan. We'll have grilled brats tonight, and probably corn on the cob and coleslaw.

We are having breakfast for dinner with Canadian bacon (peameal) scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns.
Stay safe peas in the path of the hurricane. Sending positive thoughts.

We are going to mow and complete some yardwork today. So we are getting take out from a local restaurant our friends own. I am going to have fresh pork, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and green beans. My husband will get Chef Bob it is chicken covered jalapeno peppers, bacon, lettuce and ranch dressing. We will get an order of corn fitters with honey to share as dessert.

I ended up making enchiladas yesterday and had plenty of wine after that.
Today I have a leg of lamb defrosting for dinner. I am making mashed potatoes and asparagus to go with it.

Good Morning my fellow Peas!
Sending good vibes for anyone in the path of the storm! We desperately need rain here, but we are too far west for anything beyond a few scattered showers.
Dinner here will be the leftover roasted chicken made into Enchiladas.
I need to make a trip to the grocery store, but am considering doing pickup for the weekend to avoid the actual shop.
I hope everyone has a great day!!!

It’s actually kind of cold here this morning! And there’s less smoke in the air. I am thrilled. Still going to be 80+ later on, but at least I can open the windows for now to cool down the house a bit. Yesterday I made this honey-garlic sheet pan dinner with turkey kielbasa and taters and veggies. It was good, but too sweet. Next time I’ll skip the sauce, or at least cut back on how much I use. Honestly, we would have been happy with just all the roasted food and no extra junk on it.
Today I’m going to do something with an untouched rotisserie chicken I found in the freezer. Stay safe, those of you in the path of the hurricanes.

Hello lovelies! So glad you can open your windows again lucyg. Nothing worse than smoke in the air. For us here in So Cal its definitely cooled off thank goodness. I am so sick of chicken! I don't want to go to Costo but I need to, I like their beef the most but lately they are only allowing us to buy one package of beef at a time and pickings can be slim as it is. I have a lot of ground beef but I can't think of anything interesting to make, I'm so tired of spagetti/tacos/Korean beef bowls. We don't like Sloppy Joes and it's still to warm to make albondigas soup yet. Just here posting to see if anything you guys post inspires

Hi my dad is hounding me to make a blueberry crisp (crumble). I have to get oats from the store. I hate blueberries. I really hate them so I have to make something I don’t want to eat. I have no motivation to cook it either. I will get dressed eventually as I need shabu shabu sauce and hakusai which is white cabbage for the dinner I am making. I need to call Mother in Japan to make sure I am not leaving something out. The time difference is really awkward.

It will be one extra hot day here today, heat index in the low 100. There will be no cooking for me. Maybe subs tonight. I feel bad that SO has to work out in this today. But I am having my mini hot flashes, so I call it even

I don't think I could date a chef leannec. My ego is much too big to date a man who cooks better than I do. I ended up making the ribs last night with mashed potatoes. My DS came for dinner. It was nice to see him. I was going to suggest breakfast for dinner tonight but Jeremy got home from work at 10 am and made breakfast. So I'm not sure what is for dinner tonight.

Happy Wednesday!!!
I was up early today because I was having a truck full of black mulch delivered at 8am. 🥴 Tomorrow a small crew is coming to clean out my front beds, trim things up and then mulch it all. It looks awful right now.
For today I’ve got to get some cleaning done. I keep putting it off like the imaginary housekeeper is going to do it. 😂
Tonight is carry out from Cracker Barrel. I need a biscuit and gravy fix.

I'm meeting a couple girls for a take out dinner at a friend's house. Hopefully it's cool enough we can eat outside on the porch. DH will get by with leftovers or take out.
Good thoughts to everyone.

Reminds me of a former co-worker of DH's when we were in our 20s. He said he could never be married to a woman who made more money than he did (and yes, he was a bit of a jerk). DH looked at me and said to feel free to make as much as I wanted because he would never have an issue with it!

I think for dinner tonight I am going to make shrimp and grits. That should make dh as my cooking has been pretty much non-existent since Kait left.
I need to hit up the grocery store and pick up a few things. I really hate going.
I would totally date a chef (if I was single) in hopes that I would NEVER have to cook or plan a meal again!!

DS and I dropped DH at Poppy Hills this morning and came back to Carmel to take a long walk in the beach looking up at Pebble Beach. It is surreal being here when I'm so worried about classmates in Louisiana and Texas. Still haven't heard from DH's niece about how their house fared in the fire. We'll be eating out somewhere, not sure where. DS and I will head down to Pacific Grove in a while to eat lunch, walk around and later pick up DH at the golf course.

Hi Everyone! Our Internet was acting up yesterday so I never got a chance to read or post yesterday. bklyngal62 I am sending you Huge Hugs, prayers and healing thoughts to you. Know that we are here holding you up. I would love to read stories about your wonderful son! Your dinner tonight sounds delicious. scrapmaven I am glad that you are getting your nutrition and relaxation. leannec I am so happy that you were able to spend the evening with your DDs and your mom. Have fun on your date. jeremysgirl I just got my hair colored and cut. I just cannot bring myself to go grey. I am going to be one of those little old ladies who keep my hair colored until I can’t get to the hairdresser. Everyone in the path of the hurricanes and fires, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Today was YDS first day of virtual school. He loved it. We are so happy. I went food shopping today and bought ground beef. I was going to make a chicken dish tonight. But ODS asked for meatloaf. So I am surprising him with meatloaf!

Hi ladies!! It's been a great day. Woke up to temps in the mid 50s! Such a nice break from the 90s and humid we've had for days. And high today is in the mid 70s with a cool breeze. Absolutely beautiful!
On top of that, we made the decision to drive to dh's cousins house for Christmas. We haven't spent Christmas with anyone other than my MIL since the kids were born. It was actually all the kids(mine plus cousins kids) when they idea when they visited a couple of weeks ago. They all day down together and put together a slide show and presented it - pros and cons of why we should make the trip. It was very sweet and really showed us how much they want this. All our kids are getting older and we've never spent the holidays together...so we're doing it. I've already found someone to help take care of the dogs while we're gone, which was one of my biggest worries. I'm excited.
My girls are taking drivers ed, just started last week. They got to drive with the instructor today. To anyone that's far removed from drivers ed, it's a big deal because with covid, the classes/driving time has been all wonky. They were the first in the class to be asked to drive so we're getting closer and closer to licenses.
Canon is finally starting to act normal...well other than the excessive drinking caused by the steroids and thus having to go out every hour. I'm SO happy to have my pup feeling better. He goes in for a checkup tomorrow.
Dinner tonight is turkey teriyaki bowls. I'm trying to figure out dinners for next week and was uninspired so like oh Yvonne, I came here to get ideas.
Have a great day,my friends!!

Ds moves back to school tomorrow, so he finished packing today and we just loaded both cars. No sun today, but hot and humid and I am sweat-soaked. Tomorrow will be worse!
We are getting Red Robin takeout this evening.

I have having homemade (not by me...LOL) artichoke parmesan ravioli with artichoke pesto...going to toss in more artichokes.
Nice cool day here today..my parents' headstone was placed at the cemetery last Friday--not sure why we weren't told. (monument place has been awesome so this is out of the ordinary). So my mom went down by herself and then sent a pic--it's 15 mins from here. It is beautiful but I kind of lost it when I saw the picture. UGH
