What do you do with the pins? Do you display them somewhere decoratively or do you use them organizationally to somehow know what colors you have? Sort of a tangent but I wonder about these pins and the Doodlebug (I think) pins. As for the new color, I’m on the fence. I have at least one orange already and I tend to prefer the cooler colors, so the last blue color release was more up my alley. I have a bulletin board in my scrapbook room that I display them on. Mostly I have the Doodlebug pins and pins from The Gray Muse. They make me happy to see them all together on the board. As the weather gets cooler, I’ll put some on my denim jacket. I bought locking pin backs so they won’t fall off. Crackling campfire is gorgeous.
On an unrelated note, I just looked at the pins from the Gray Muse. There is no going back. They are GORGEOUS and I could not resist ordering! They will also be on my denim jacket this fall

I had to laugh (albeit sort of ironic, crazed laugh) when I saw what it was called because I'm currently evacuated from my home in the Santa Cruz mountains because of wildfires. My house is still standing, but the fires consumed most of the houses on my street so I think it will work for the pages I'm doing to document the horror. It looks very much like the color of the flames in photos taken by local press agents. Oh, I am so sorry that you have gone through this. I'm glad you are safe and that your home is still standing. My heart aches for those who lost everything. Hope you will be home soon. Yes, this color should work perfectly for the wildfires. |

I caved and bought the distress paint to try.
Of course, I couldn’t get just one paint color to try so I had to order a few.
I knew I wouldn’t last very long.

I’ve got the Ink, Oxide, and pin ordered. It’s a gorgeous fall color! What do you do with the pins? No, and I haven't purchased the last new color either. I don't care for the large pads, so unless they come out with the small cubes, I won't order.

Ryan at Glitter Grunge Greetings is great! thanks for posting this- he just got a new follower! eta: back to the topic of the thread, I don't remember if I replied before- I like the color (it's a nice 'desert-y' color and would work with the kind of stuff I use) but I don't need full-size inkpads, so I won't be buying any of it until / if it comes out in the mini-cube sets. I didn't like the last color all that much- it wasn't quite as 'robin's egg' blue as I expected. |
