I have been looking for a good quality spin bike and finally decided on the ProForm Studio Bike Pro. It seems to fit all my needs as well as my daughter’s. It’s $1400 and change with free delivery and comes out to $42 per month no interest for 3 years but you get IFit family plan with it for three years. The reviews are good and since IFit is $39/month anyway it seemed like a good way to add to my exercise equipment at a reasonable cost. I can return it within 30 days if I don’t like it.

Yes, you need proper spin shoes, pulling the pedals up is important. You can’t do that in tennis shoes. Are spin shoes different from regular cycling shoes? I have a pair of cycling shoes from when I did a triathlon, can I use those?

My bike will be delivered September 19-about 5 weeks after I ordered it. I was going to order it but I talked myself out of it. My gym (Orange Theory) is back open but I just don’t think it’s going to last.

I scored a used Peloton from someone in a neighborhood close to me. I love it. We've only had it about 2 1/2 weeks. My daughter and I ride it regularly. My dh has ridden once or twice.
Shoes--yes you want bike shoes. They are stiffer and don't bend, which is good when you're standing. You want to be able to pull/push the pedals. The shoes also keep your feet aligned so your workout is better.
I had done spin classes for years. The instructors on Peloton are fantastic. Music....sometimes good, sometimes not.
Oh, if you don't want to ride with any instructor you can do that too using your own music and choose scenery.

There is no place within a 2 hour drive to buy them I got some on clearance from Pearl Izumi, they are fantastic. They are a very reputable brand to look at. I also bought online.
