iowgirl she doesn't have an iPhone. Her work phone is a really cheap one from Verizon. Her personal cell is worse than that. I can understand the issues at her house, but think that the texts should come through when she leaves, right?

but think that the texts should come through when she leaves, right? Texts SHOULD, but that does not mean they WILL.
I'm telling you, texts are a screwy thing.

Then there needs to be an exception for these people to work in the office. It's not fair to everyone else who must do their job for them and can't have meaningful communication. "They" ...whoever that might be... also need to figure out how to get a legitimate, fast, and affordable internet service to EVERYONE. The world has change - no more putting this off. I am hoping the new Star Link system might offer some real hope for this issue. Time will tell on what it will cost and if there will be low data caps - which are a killer.

While there are certainly some technology glitches - particularly in remote communities. The reality is the team needs to figure out a communication system that works. If texts are not reliable - fine - require email or whatever with the expectation that there will be a response by end of day. And if you have to drive to the away from your silo to answer your email at 5 o'clock so be it. If the team needs twice a day, that should be the standard. I didn't get the message is just unacceptable. Ultimately there has to be a platform you can access with some regularity that works for the team.
