Is anyone buying these? If so - where and how do you like them?
Isn't it just like making an A2 card - cut, fold the base, then cut your layers.

Yes you can definitely make it like an a2. However if you want edging like stitching details you need the dies. I like the mama elephant ones, the lawn Fawn ones and some from Trinity stamps. Tons of companies have them. The new living room die from trinity stamps I have abs I think it’s really cool for making scenes.

I love the ones from Gina Marie ( wholesalecraftingsupplies.com ) partly because her prices are so good - $13.00 for a set.

I like Divinity Designs, Rubbernecker Stamps dies for slimeline cards. What I like about using dies is there are the decorative borders and so many different ways to use them.

I bought some slimline dies for stitched borders and scallops. Mine are from Whimsey Stamps.

Thank you for the link to Divinity Designs! I have been dreaming about a die that would cut the entire A2 card with a score line and they have one. Can’t wait to get it.

I’ve looked at all the dies and companies referred to in this thread, but for the ones I like, the cost would add up super fast. Even the less expensive ones will add up if you buy more than just one or two sets.
The advantage of dies is that you get more defined stitch lines, but the advantage to my electronic cutter is that I can create my own version of the ones I want for free, with only a small investment of time. Since the machine is paid for, that costs me nothing, and doing a double cut gives a more defined stitch line, too. It may still not be quite as good as you get with dies, but free is free.
However, I do love dies, too. I have a ridiculously huge collection of dies, in fact. Unfortunately, there are far too many that I thought I would love, that I have never used or have only used once.
The dies that I use the most are the Foundation dies by Queen and Company. They are versatile and also happen to be the most affordable (but decent) dies that I’ve found. While they do not yet have slimline dies, they have a few sketches for slimline cards that use their earlier Foundation die sets. I have made a total of one slimline card so far, based on one of those sketches. From something said on their Royalty Facebook Group, I think they will be coming out with slimline Foundation dies at some point. They are currently my favorite company, but just because they have earned it. I have no affiliation with them in any way.
I do like the one slimline card that I made, but until I decide just how much I actually like slimline cards overall, I think I need to use my current dies and electronic cutter and play more with what I have on hand. I think I would be inclined to wait, anyway, till I see what Q&Co. comes out with for slimline dies, because I get more bang for my buck with them.

Funny story, I was walking to an appointment at my local hospital recently and discovered YOUR BUSINESS right in MY neighborhood! Well, across the bridge, the other side of my neighborhood. I was surprised - I knew you were in WA but not that you were within walking distance. I was about to ask here if you offer in person (distanced) pickup but I see on your about page you do So if I break my shopping freeze for some dies I will email you.

These are from Newton's Nook. I was happy to discover I can switch out the bases and make two A2 cards with one use of the nested dies: slimline porthole cards by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I also have the NN dies that cut squares out of the middle. I also have one from Lawn Fawn that scores to make these little doors: slimline masculine card by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Off to check @thekatsmeow's dies.

I am trying so hard to resist the siren call to buy new (slimline) dies, but I am starting to weaken. One of the few things saving me is that most of the ones that I want are out of stock.

I just thought I'd pop in and say that Spellbinder's January Large Die of the Month is a heart-themed slimline die. It's really gorgeous! (I'm not affiliated with them, just a fan of their products!)

I am not counting that kit as part of my 50 or Frozen goal b/c it is a kit that was pre ordered, so I will be getting this die. Would you like me to cut you some card fronts after it arrives? I think from the promo that it is a layered die, but that may just be the smaller one.

However, in looking at it and as lovely as it is, I realized that I would probably not use it. This sounds weird, but I almost never use hearts, even for Valentine cards for my wonderful husband.
