Wow, harsh--but true, IMO.

I saw that this morning. She and Jim Gaffigan are giving me life right now.

Loved it. My only critique would be to include the liberal whiners. Those who complain but anything actionable is lost on them. Lazy bums.

I don’t agree with everything she said but I, too, have lost respect for people who are rabid Trump devotees. I am a a Republican and will never vote for someone like him. I am saddened to find almost all my church acquaintances are Trump supporters. I don’t understand it at all.

I've never heard of this woman, but I want to give her a socially distanced HIGH FIVE.
I agree with every single word she wrote

Wow. I love reading stuff like this. We all have to be that way. We do.
I live in a bastion of conservatism and I am no longer tolerating people who support Trump because of those exact reasons the author said. I am DONE.

"A frequent DM (direct message) I receive on Instagram is some version of this: “I come here for design and to see your life in France. Stop posting political stuff.”
These DMs are, without exception, from Trump supporters, or people who claim to be independent, but will definitely vote for Trump and are ashamed to admit it.
My response: I do not create content for you.
It makes me sick to my stomach that you, a Trump supporter, ever read or watch or listen to anything I’ve created. This is true even if I know you in real life.
I see what you are trying to do. You want me to treat you like a decent human being. But you are not behaving like a decent human being.
A decent person doesn’t align themself with people who are proudly racist and who insist America doesn’t have a racism problem.
A decent person doesn’t align themself with people who believe viral right-wing stories on Facebook over trained journalists, who think Q is real, who think the pandemic is fake, who think the earth is flat.
Every Karen in my world loves to say some version of "I don't do politics". How lovely to live such a privileged life where you will never deal with toxic water, refinery pollution, unsafe working conditions, not being able to afford mental health services, police brutality, and the thousands of other "political" issues in life.

I could have written this 3 to 4 years ago. It's so sad to realize how many people you know can support or even to look the other way with this so called president.

This sums up my feelings completely. I am in a red state and surrounded by trump humpers, many of whom are (were) friends. I am about to go right over the edge. Honestly, I don’t know what I will do if he gets in again. I know I cannot stand up under four more years of this....
I have six local friends/acquaintances who think as I do, and my East Coast family is also horrified by this administration, but due to COVID I cannot see them face to face. They are what is keeping me sane in the face of the awful miasma of trump support that threatens to engulf me.

Every Karen in my world loves to say some version of "I don't do politics". How lovely to live such a privileged life where you will never deal with toxic water, refinery pollution, unsafe working conditions, not being able to afford mental health services, police brutality, and the thousands of other "political" issues in life. It's either "I don't do politics," or "Why so much anger? Everyone has a right to an opinion and all opinions are equally valid." Well, no. Opinions that actively shun science, deny the humanity and equal rights of each individual, lead people to think they need guns to solve problems, and lead to the suffering of countless people are not "equally valid." And speaking the truth about that isn't hate. These days, "both sides"-ism will get you unfollowed by me as quickly as Trump support does. I don't have time for that. Both sides-ism is privilege. Saying you don't do politics is privilege. Choosing to vote third party, or to sit out, at this time in history, is privilege. Some people don't like to hear that, but it's true.
