I think I've seen a few people here frustrated that they can't share images by attachment because the boards are full. We were talking about it on another thread and someone kindly shared a method for finding your old images so they can be deleted to make space.
- Click Search in the menu bar, and in the first What to Search field, type "attachment".
- Under Who to Search, in the first field type your own Id. That will give you a list of posts.
- Open the post in a new tab (to keep your list, otherwise you have to keep running the search again) and click Edit, then Edit attachment (that's really important - if you just delete your photos from the thread, the attachments will still be there) and Delete.
- I usually edit my original post with {deleted to save space} so that people don't wonder where the photos are.
- Then Save.
Photos uploaded using the Add Attachment button are stored on this forum so those are the ones that need removing.
Photos uploaded via Tapatalk don't take up space on this forum, because they link to storage elsewhere. Pictures linked using the Link icon are also OK.

How about Flickr and Instagram? They're fine. They're ideal  If you paste a link to another place hosting the photo, no problem at all. It's just that pesky "add attachment" button that fills up the board's storage because the photo is actually being stored/hosted here rather than just referencing an image somewhere else on the internet. |

So, if we use the photo icon, which requires us to put in a link, we are okay? I store them on my blog and use the image icon to get them to show up in my post. I’ve never used the Add Attachment option.

Since I don't know how to use the "attachment" I figured I didn't have any to delete. I searched, and sure enough, no attachments. I just use Flickr for anything I put on the message boards. Thanks for the info, joblackford. |

Bringing this reminder to the top, b/c our attachment bank is full again. I just went back and deleted a bunch of printable challenge lists, but still can't upload this month's b/c we are "full".
Again, no problem with photos linked from Flickr or IG or a blog. But anything you link from your computer or phone directly takes up space on the board.
