Anything edible is to be made in a professional kitchen with a food safety certified chef/baker and vacume sealed or presser sealed.
Nothing made that is edible to be made in (eg) mom's kitchen with family members or friends helping, especially in this Covid-19 situation.

None. I think young people are mistaking their favors for thank you notes. Just send out a proper thank you note.
Mints are a complete waste of money. My sil got married 6 years ago-she’s still trying to get rid of mints.
As a baker-cookies get expensive FAST.
You’re feeding people, and hopefully buying them drinks. That’s what the reception is for. That’s the thank you for attending.
Younger people are also trying to make cute favors and then skimp on food. Don’t do that. Feed the people a nice meal.

I made my own wedding cakes because we couldn’t find a baker willing to verify a peanut free kitchen for my own children. Any family member taking on a food favor would be insane. It gets out of control very fast. I made several trials of the cake in the months beforehand to make sure I got it right. Now my husband won’t eat cake becqiSe I made so much.

Yes to the Koozie - I always need more of those and will use them.
I voted for Charitable Donation in honor of guests, and Mini Bundt Cake, and individually wrapped decorated cookie.
I don't want any little trinkets to clutter up the house.
I also have received a Christmas Ornament with the couple's names and date on it (at a Christmas season wedding) and we have kept that and use it every year!

Consumables are best, but even then things will be left behind.
No personalized stuff.
While a generic ornament that fits the theme, place, or season would be cute, please, no dates or names. The only way I'd take something that was personalized if it was my kid's wedding.
We had a few Hersey kisses wrapped in tulle with a tag that said thank you for coming. Some were eaten there. Some were taken. We still had a bunch leftover.

My thing is that I will take anything, I just may end up tossing it with IG a couple of months. Anything edible will for sure be enjoyed. I always google before asking, but couldn't find what " IG a" meant? (except for immunoglobulin, which I'm sure no one would want as a favor!) AussieMeg ....Oh goodie! ANOTHER fun word from your country! I'm gonna have to call beers "stubbies" now....what a cute word!

I voted for mostly food items & then nothing because I'd be fine with nothing. Even though I wouldn't mind food items, I'd just suggest that it actually fit the theme & decor...not just be there to be there. Anything highly personalized is either not going home with us or isn't being kept too long.

I missed flower seeds. That is what we gave at my wedding. I ordered packets from a garden shop and put them inside envelopes with the attendees name and table number.
I don't want stuff to sit around because then I'd feel bad for throwing it out.

I voted for anything edible or the donation.
I do have a nut allergy, but would still bring home a nut or suspected nut item for my kids. My only thought is that it's nice if the food item had some label on it so people know the ingredients. I wouldn't judge you or be mad if it didn't list the ingredients though.

My first choice is a mini bundt cake. My second choice is a photo booth strip.
I am not a fan of trinkets or knick-knacks, nor would I keep something that had someone else's name on it (except the photo booth strip which would go in my scrapbook).

Nothing. I don’t need any more crap, and I don’t believe I need a present for attending a wedding.

Favors are a waste of money because no favors will please everyone, so a lot are going to get left behind or thrown away.
I couldn’t eat or take home and food item that’s homemade. 1) because I think it’s gross because I don’t know if you followed any safety protocols and 2) due to food allergies my family can’t have anything that isn’t properly labeled for ingredients and cross contamination.
I wouldn’t keep anything with another couple’s name/date/picture on it.
I associate koozies with the 80s and 90s and have never seen someone my age use one IRL.

I like most of them , edible or not. Edible things are fun, but I like bringing home a glass and then remembering the couple when I drink out of it. I have some fun glasses from weddings. Not sure where you're located, but I know that many places in the US do not encourage bamboo as it grows too fast and takes over native plants. No plans for doing favors. These were just the things listed on the other thread.

Well, I haven’t read the original thread, so I don’t know the context of all these suggestions, but that didn’t stop me from voting. I had to laugh because that's really true pea fashion. "I don't know for sure what you're talking about, but here's my opinion anyway." Lol. And lucyg please know I'm laughing WITH you, not at you. I'd say yes to coozies. I have a drawer full. They are easy enough to store and quite handy for the pool and beach. It's fun to pull one out and remember the wedding or event it came from.

AussieMeg ....Oh goodie! ANOTHER fun word from your country! I'm gonna have to call beers "stubbies" now....what a cute word! Ah, but only if the beer is in a glass bottle, and it has to be the short fat bottle - not a long neck. When/if you ever come to visit, and you really want to assimilate, you will need to go to Dan's and order a slab of Vic stubbies.

I know my phone’s autocorrect is the WORST. So sorry for the confusion...it was meant to say - within a few months.

We had a friend that had these beautiful antique looking cut glass bowls filled with candy for their favors. At the end of the night a bunch of people didn't take theirs, so we grabbed some extras. We have 6 (and we are now a family of 6) and 15 years later they are our favorite ice cream bowls.

I must be hungry. All the food got my vote. I'd be okay with something to plant, but I really don't need anything to take home. Things with other people's names on them don't last in my house.

I’m sort of over photo booths. I don’t see a lot of people doing them anymore. I have seen the guests holding the empty picture frame pics though! Thanks for the spin off of my thread! Love it!

I really only voted for edible items and coffee mugs are always a yes for me. No to the koozies.
