jeremysgirl , love the wood grain paper and colors in your LO AussieMeg , I wanted to TOUCH your LO. The button, ribbon, and dot add a lot. boymom5 , so beautiful and I love the textures My take on this sketch in a birthday card. I also managed to get 5 patterned papers in.

tuesdaysgone - that is an awesome card! It feels so happily birthday-ish with the papers but you kept the sentiment front and centre. grammadee, this sketch gave me fits for quite a while...and then boom, it fell into place. I had started cutting 2 rough circles, and just couldn't make them work until I gesso-ed one of them to make the colour a little different. And my design changed so much as I went. The flags were a last-minute inspiration. And I love how this turned out because the picture was taken on a huge ferris wheel!!!  layout highly humourous by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Here’s my take on it from my TN album kit I wasn’t sure how to use the ink, so I grabbed some cotton, tore it apart so it was “wispy”, and then used the ink and the cotton for the background circle. I didn’t intend for it to be that dark and noticeable, but once I started doing it, I liked how it filled in the space and enhanced the circular shape.  2020 Sketchtember #1 |
