Here is your list of September Challenges. Anyone is welcome to take on any one--or ALL of them this month! If you are on a team and are counting points, please check the Rules thread for details.
Challenge #1: SKETCHtember. Each day there will be a new sketch with a twist. Unless different points are listed in that challenge, then count points as follows: *Create a project using the SKETCH: 2 points. *Apply the twist to any project: 1 point. *PLUS: Use the sketch AND the twist on one project: 5 bonus points.
Bonus: create a take on ALL of the SKETCHES, earn a bonus of 150 points. Note: you have until Sunday, October 4th to earn your bonus for completing all the sketches.

September organization challenge September Other Crafts challenge September Lift a PEA challenge.
Challenge #3:Try a Triangle! Use a triangle anywhere on your project for one point. Use NINE triangles and claim a bonus of 3 points.
Challenge #4 Make it Metallic. Use any metallic element on your project for a point. It could be a brad or eyelet or other metal embellishment, or some foiling (either with foiled product or DIY), or maybe some metallic heat embossing. And here in Canada, it is autumn so I am drawn to fall colours, so if you use some COPPER on your project, claim an extra point!
Challenge #5 Equinox. The light is evening out again this month. In celebration, create a project that has TWO of something, or two different focal points, or two halves, a light half and a dark half. Bonus point for using the yin & yang symbol on your project.

#45 PATTERNED PAPER PALOOZA! - Yes, stealing straight from KikiPea 's challenge #44, I'm flipping it - use 5 different patterned papers for 5 points #46 Going Back to School! Around here, things are very focused on Back to School, especially with schools reopening but differently and with lots of virtual options being offered. So lets celebrate the routine we loved in years gone by! For 10 points, choose a recipe: a) school bus - use the colour yellow; use round shapes for the wheels; use something clear to represent the windows; and splatters to represent all the kids and all the noise! b) brown bag lunch - use kraft or a light brown colour; use fruit on the page; use something you don't normally use (tradesies!); and represent the sandwich with 3 layers somewhere on your page c) back-to-school outfit (use twine or ribbon to represent the straps on a backpack; use NEW scrap supplies as your new trendy clothes; add sparkle and shine to represent how good you feel on the first day!; and make your layout about friends/friendships d) back-to-school supplies (use ledger or grid paper; represent markers/paints/pencil crayons with mixed media or doodling, use triangular shapes to represent your geometry set; use primary colours e) back to class MATH: use a grid style layout; HISTORY: use old supplies; LANGUAGES: journalmore than 50 words or make a title more than 4 words long; BIOLOGY: make a layout of the outdoors or use lots of the colour green. #47 STAMPtember - 1 point per stamp on your page or card! #48 Puffed Up - use your puffy stickers or puffy thickers, 1 point #49 Lifted Up - hoist some layers on your layout/card onto pop dots or foam. #50 Torn Up - use a torn edge somewhere on your page, 1 point/edge! #51 DIY letters - 1 point per letter in your title or card sentiment that is made by yourself (ie not stickers or thickers) using punches/dies/electronic die cuts, hand-cutting, handwriting or stamps!

Challenge #52: When one door closes... another door opens, right? September is a month when summer/winter ends and fall/spring begins. So take a point for the FIRST page in an album. And a point for the LAST page. Note: these don't have to be the first or the last pages you create for that album, just that they will be slotted into those spots in it. Card makers: a point for the FIRST Christmas/holiday card you create this year... and of course a point for the LAST one if you have reached your goal of cards for the year... Or first/last invitation or thankyou note for an occasion... You get the idea!
Oh, and cuz of the lead-in, feel free to take a point for every DOOR on any project you create this month.

#55 Someone you love- Make a card for, or a page about someone you love. Add a bonus point if there is a heart on it.
#56 Bits and Pieces - paper piece at least one item on your card or layout. It must have at least 3 layers. Add a bonus point for each extra paper piecing on your project.
#57 Light it up - use the image of a light bulb, lamp, light post, Christmas lights or lantern on your project.
#58 Interactive - make your card or layout interactive by having something to lift up, flip open, slide, etc on. Just opening a card doesn't count unless it makes something move.

boymom5, does your stitching challenge include stitched dies, pen stitching and other than sewing stitching? Yes anything you would consider stitching! Either on the layout or a picture of some sort of stitching (individual interpretation of that).

#59 Count to NINE for the 9th month: Use a combination of 3 colors of cardstock and 6 patterned papers, or 6 colors of cardstock and 3 patterned papers for a grand total of 9 points per project. (more difficult to complete I believe?)
#60 Make it masculine with stars or gears. Include the star shape or gears in your project, 1 point per shape. Three stars = 3 points and so on.

ooops. I got here a little late for adding challenges. I have questions. Of course! (1) Is it always one point unless the post says differently? And we can do the challenges over and over again if we want? (2) if you do all of the sketches, you don’t have to do one each day, right? Just do them whenever? (I definitely won’t, but I was curious.) (3) Linda ... your #14, does no-buy include club kits that get sent automatically? If one is shipped or received, does that count as buying? As I type this, I’m feeling it’s a stupid question. Never mind. No buy means no buy! (4) KikiPea ... your #39, does the 4x4 or smaller mean the photos or the pages? I’m pretty sure this is another stupid question, but I gotta ask. And your #44, no patterned paper ... can we stamp or stencil on plain cardstock to create our own, or should it not be patterned even if it started out plain? (5) kitbop ... your #51, DIY lettering, are computer-printed titles or journaling allowed? Thank you, everyone! The challenges look so fun. Now it’s just a matter of getting me to follow through.

Good questions, lucyg ! I will take on #’ 1 & 2. You claim at least one for every challenge you incorporate into a project. Some of the challenges give you a chance to claim more. You can roll as many challenges into one project as you like, and you can count points for any challenge whenever you meet it during the month. You don’t need to do the sketches one per day. As long as they are all done by the deadline in October, you can claim the completion bonus.

(5) kitbop ... your #51, DIY lettering, are computer-printed titles or journaling allowed? Computer printed titles count 100%. But I should amend my challenge - journaling doesn't count for these points.

(3) Linda ... your #14, does no-buy include club kits that get sent automatically? If one is shipped or received, does that count as buying? As I type this, I’m feeling it’s a stupid question. Never mind. No buy means no buy! I would say you wouldn't get points for the day they are paid for (charged) but simply arriving on your doorstep doesn't count against the no-spend. (same with orders you placed in August that arrive in Sept)

Hey Lucy! Just the photos on #39. You can put them on any size background. #44, you are more than welcome to make your own background with anything you want, with the exception of actual patterned paper. I hope that helps. Can’t wait to see what you do!
