Call back is infuriating. It's been 2 and a half hours. I need my meds today. I tend to lose pregnancy's early if I don't get my meds in me. They need to call back like 2 hours ago.

Call again. Explain. Call again in 15 minutes. Be a pest. Squeaky wheel.

I'm sorry, that would be very stressful! Is going to the office in person an option?

I hope you get your call back quickly. Best wishes to you with a smooth pregnancy.
I am curious though..........Is this a new pregnancy? Are you getting on this medication for the first time for this pregnancy right now or are you trying to get a refill for something you have been taking for a couple of months already?

No this is my third pregnancy. But it's the first with this doc. But we have seen her. She knows my history. I was very specific with her.

Is this a refill or a new script? Maybe I missed part of this story, but why are you waiting until the day you need this medication to call for it? My DH doesn't have office hours every morning. Sometimes his hours are in the afternoon, sometimes he's in a different office, and sometimes he's in the OR all day and has no office hours. And when he does return calls and do scripts, its normally at the end of the day. Most docs offices say to allow 24-48 hours for scripts.

Seems like she should have given you a Rx slip at the time of your last visit so you could fill it when needed. Please call again and suggest they go directly to the Dr. and tell her what you need to have called in.

That's the other thing. I need shots. Heparin shots. And I need them now. They need to call me back.

Tango1. Because I just got a positive pregnancy test. I don't need these meds unless I'm pregnant. If I don't have them I miscarry because my body fights cuts off the blood supply to the baby.

If I needed a shot today I would call and let them know I was coming in. Is it possible to get the shot elsewhere? It's really this time critical?

I think you should call the doctor's office again and ask them if you should go to an ER. I don't know if your situation is an emergency or not, but it's entirely possible the doctor is simply not available to drop everything and handle your situation no matter how much you plead or complain, so you should explain to them the urgent nature of your condition and ask them what they recommend. Good luck...I know you must be worried and frantic right now. ((((hugs))))

I had something similar, but needed progesterone supplements. I wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant, but there I was--pregnant. Without my progesterone. I literally went and camped out in the office until I got my script. And I have a beautiful DD today because of it.
I'm thinking good baby thoughts for you!

Could you switch to a practice with lots of doctors? That would be so frustrating to have to wait, and like the other pea said, the doctor could be in another office doing something and not able to get back to you immediately. Maybe if there are lots of doctors in the practice, maybe if one isn't available another could help you. That's really scary that you had to wait when you needed the shots right away.
