I drew my own sketch so I have to apologize to all the digi scrappers because I don’t have a digital template to share. I do my sketches for and layouts in Travel Notebooks but I try to make the sketch adaptable for other sizes. Each TN sketch will have a stamping twist and a non stamping twist. You can do either, both, or neither. This is meant to include all scrappers, card makers, and stampers so have fun with it! I feel like I should also warn people that this layout is political. Here’s the sketch Sketchtember 6 sketchHere’s my two page TN layout Sketchtember 6 layout For a non-stamping twist, use a die or die cut that you haven’t used in a while (“a while” is subjective so you can define it however you’d like.) I used a file tab die that I haven’t used in months to make a die cut. For a stamping twist, use an alphabet stamp set. Mine was brand new but yours doesn’t have to be. Even if it’s a set you use on every layout, it counts. Even if it’s only one letter, it counts. I need to use my stamps and ink more and stop worrying about my stamps getting stained! Each twist is an extra point. Three points if you do both![/a][/a]

Great sketch! I love that you draw your own., ComplicatedLady. And your TN pages are a wonderful interpretation of your message. Love the hopeful images and colours on the pp.

ComplicatedLady Great sketch and I love how you've seen your vision through to the end result. Really lovely colors combo (that navy paper is gorgeous!) and the added texture of the Nuvo drops is wonderful! Linda You are plugging right along with these sketches! It's been fun reading your daily lists and learning more about your family. Super cute page! I had a vision in my head for this page it and it did NOT turn out like I was hoping for. I want to take it apart but for now it stays. Once Sketchtember is over I will try again.

Thanks Ryann - you've been doing great also. I love the countdown on your page - sorry it didn't come out the way you envisioned.

Linda I love your interpretations of the sketch. Ryann I love yours too and I’m sorry it didn’t turn out as you envisioned. I hate when that happens! For what it’s worth, I think it looks great! Just like it’s hard to convert 12x12 or 8.5x11 sketches to TN, I’m sure it’s just as hard to convert the other way!

This was a bit of a challenge! The left side of the sketch is represented in my left side strip of pp, with the journaling box and the label topper. The right side of the sketch - I turned rectangular elements into circles. And yes, I STAMPED my RIGHT ON THE LAYOUT! Talk about nerve wracking! But I love the way it turned out. layout my fair ladies by kirstendrew, on Flickr

ComplicatedLady , thank you for the sketch. This was easier for me because it was smaller with fewer photos. I appreciate your posting it. I love bright patterned paper you used on the left side. Your use of the sketch was awesome. Are those lines of Nuvo drops on the right side? Linda , great job on your interpretation. I think it looks wonderful! I love the soft colors on your cameras and you have carried that through the layout. Beautiful. Ryann , your page is total fun. I love the scattered elements. They look just like tossed confetti. Cute. kitbop , you have love in the gallery. Here is my interpretation of the sketch. I flipped it horizontally to put the smaller photo on the left. My twist was the use of my Envelope Maker that I seldom use, but I used it to make the file folder tab on the left side. Bright Ideas

This is the first half of a two page spread (the second page works for a different SKETCHtember challenge). I used CTMH alpha stamps for the twist. The page design went a little off the rails, especially on the right half of the page, but it is what it is..

I had a vision in my head for this page it and it did NOT turn out like I was hoping for. I want to take it apart but for now it stays. Once Sketchtember is over I will try again. Sorry I missed this page earlier. It may not be exactly as you envisioned it, but I think it is delightful! Love the title taking up the left half and then the photos on the right. The scattered dots and the seemingly random icons all work together to say fun fun FUN!
And Linda, I like yours because it is so Clean and Simple. Love that block of cat paper, and your list of your dd's qualities.
I think I caught the others on Flickr.

I am new at tabulating my pts. On my TN do I get one for each alpha stamp or the whole thing?

I am new at tabulating my pts. On my TN do I get one for each alpha stamp or the whole thing? I usually count a point for using an alpha stamp set regardless of how many letters I use. Others may chime in and tell me I’m doing it wrong, but there aren’t hard and fast rules to do it right. take your best guess and count them up. If you use two stamp sets, that could go either way. I’d probably take one point for the first stamp set and leave it at that. I could also be wrong and others can chime in. I count my pages as “pages” so if I do a layout that includes both sides, like the one in this thread, it’s a two page layout. Does that help or did I totally create more confusion?
