**I posted this on the General Scrapping board but thought it might help if I cross post it here too.** I had this idea this weekend and wanted to share in case anyone has kits lying around that they aren’t sure what to do with. For the Sketchtember sketches, I’m using my February Cocoa Daisy kits (I get the TN and pocket subs.) The kits are pink and flowery and totally not my style, so instead of storing the kit forever and never using it, I’m using the sketches and the kits to make a TN album. My brother is getting married next year, so I may use it as a gift mini album (or I may keep it and finally scrap some of my own wedding pictures!)
It may sort of be cheating because there aren’t any pictures in the album yet, but using the kit and already having a color pallet and some basic supplies handy has made the sketches really fun for me. I’m pulling matching stuff from my kit to accent and to meet some of the challenges and twists.
Anyway, if anyone is like me and struggles with what pictures to use and what colors/supplies/etc to use, this is a low stress but fun way for me to participate in the Sketchtember challenges.

Great idea to use up products on hand and play with the sketches! Not cheating, either, to claim points for these pages. We have totally allowed points in the past for DD setup pages with no photos.

Thanks for clarifying grammadee ! It’s definitely limiting trying to stick with one kit, but it’s also easier not having to select pictures. I guess it’s a trade-off!

Go for it! I don’t mind playing with paper like that, but then I don’t follow through with the photos. I really have to start with the story or the photos and let that guide me to the supplies. First thing I have to do with a new sketch is figure out which pic’s I can use with it.

Sounds great! Please tell me what "TN" means.....thanks Travel Notebook or Traveller’s Notebook—I’ve heard it called both. They are albums that are around 4inches wide by 8inches tall. They have become a scrappy trend recently and many kit companies have pocket card kits and travel notebook kits. I like them because the pages are small and work perfectly with my zip printer which prints 2x3 inch photos from my phone.
