I have two almost 18yo girls. I *think* they are good, but you never know. Please remember what you did when you were that age. Hopefully we are the lucky ones and your DD is like that. If my girls did what I did.... ARGH! They are so much better than I was!
LOTS AND LOTS of hugs and sympathy. I hope you are blowing it out of proportion. So easy to do as a parent. I do, too!!

I don't think there is ever a wrong time to talk to your kids when you see a danger sign flashing. Whether or not you can do anything about it is another matter, but I would not hesitate to talk to her about your concerns.

I wanted to check back in and say thanks for all the advice. I appreciate it. We are good for now and I hope it stays that way... but yeah she will have to face the consequences if this bites her in her butt. I hope she is smart enough to make it right.  |

If it is something illegal...call her on it. Is it something that might cause her some harm with her plans for the Air Force??? 18 or not---(never ever have understood that mentality among some posters here about being an adult 18 and living at home and parents not wanting to call that 18 or older on what they've done or how they have disrespected the home and rules) she lives in YOUR house...YOUR rules. I was going to mention the Air Force things as well. Is it something that could ruin her being in the AF next year? Can you get her to tone it down by impressing this upon her? Eta: just saw your update. Good to hear. |

Oh sorry I didn't say anything, no nothing illegal, but yeah it could affect her getting into the AF if she doesn't play smart about it. I think she knows now that I confronted her about it and that alone might have done the trick. (but who knows for real.. ) I
