I love Crate Paper but I’ve never been fond of the shade of white they use. I just got paper from the Hey Santa collection and compared it to both Merry Days and Snowflake and it seems the most pure white of three if that makes sense, like each was getting closer to an actual white. Was this grayish type white used in other lines and is now being moved away from from, does anyone now? This would help me in the future making online purchases not being able to see the papers first hand.
ETA that Hey Santa uses an actual white.

I wish they'd move away from that grey based white, although it's probably better for my wallet if they don't.

dude, it makes me C R A Z Y!!! If you want it gray, make it gray, but leave the white alone! I hate the grungy look of their "whitish' against actual white, or any other clean color. Such a bummer.

There is no guarantee that CP will continue with the true white shade for future collections. No announcement regarding this whatsoever. It's also not the first time they've used it in the past few years but then went right back to a dirty shade of white for the next collections.
CP originally had a vintage aesthetic with a yellow cream base. Under the AC umbrella, they're definitely the brand that is sticking to using non-true white shades generally. I'm not sure AC is interested in converting them into a true white base brand but they did just get rid of Pink Paislee which might open the way for CP. We'll have to wait and see...
