Read this thread. It's looking more and more real. This has been making me nauseous. I HATE this administration. Someone needs to do more than investigate. There needs to be some serious and immediate accountability. Arrests. UN should step in since we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Barr would rubber stamp this. |

Not sure how this squares with the values of the supposedly pro-life, "all lives matter" crowd. It doesn't. "All lives matter" was always rightwing propaganda. Look how angry Trumpsters get when you dare to say Black Lives Matter. It's outrageous to them that a black person wants to emerge alive from a police encounter. As for the abortion issue, they don't even care about embryos, or they'd support universal prenatal care, let alone a proper system that protects and supports babies once they're born. If/when the truth comes out about what's been happening to the poor children in their detention centers, the details are going to be far worse than what we imagined. If you have the stomach, go over to the Trump Denies Climate Change thread. There's a live one just laughing at the fire destruction. Our country is being led by a monster. My own puzzle: did his followers become monsters, or were they always monsters waiting for the green light to inflict their cruelty on others? I wonder why the savethechildren crowd has been so quiet about the sexual violence and human trafficking faced by the people at the border and in these facilities?
Many of these people are fleeing sexual based cartel violence in their home countries. They employ human traffickers to help get them to a better life. And then, they're locked in cages and left to the whims of any sexual predator in an ICE uniform.
And now this. This Mengelesque nightmare.
These are dark times.

Just heard a story on NPR this morning that ICE tried to deport a key witness yesterday back to Cameroon. She was on the tarmac awaiting departure when she was pulled from the plane. Congressmen are saying itâs because they intervened, ICE is saying there was an error in her paperwork from Cameroon.
