If so, have you got any ideas yet? What kinds of things would you do for the men?
I’m thinking of doing home decor projects for the gals, not sure about the men yet. The kids might be a bit more challenging.

I will probably make my sister and girlfriends a wreath, like this one, using my silhouette.

I'll make homemade breads and cookies for a local family that is like family. And I might send cookies in to work with DH. Other than that? I just have my sister and my best friend on the list - I'll probably make something for them but also purchase something - I don't know...neither is local so there's shipping to consider.
I always do pyjamas for my immediate family - usually I make them, last year I bought them and I might go that route again.

I was going to crochet scarves for my husband and boys, and dishclothes for my mom and sisters (and a couple of girlfriends), but the months just slipped by. It won't happen now... Maybe next year.

The only thing I hope to make is a baby scrapbook for my niece and sister in law. I've been getting the photos printed and pulling product but so far no actual pages have been produced.

I’m stamping 6x6 background images on cards for my craft friends to color. I include the color pencils too. As I finish a set I send they them out. Told all my friends with the way things are going in the world as I finish making their gifts (birthday or Christmas) I’m sending it. They may get everything all in the same month. Their choice when they open it. If I buy anything I also ship it out quickly.

I think I need men and grandkid gift ideas the most. I think some of the guys would love the spiced nuts, but we have nut allergies in our family. I’m considering book pillows for the grandkids, but I suspect the cost will add up.
DH is having major surgery at the end of October. Things may be a bit tight this year.

I've been making one themed card a month (New Year's; Valentine's Day; St Patrick's Day; Easter; etc.). I got some clear boxes to gather the 12 cards, which I'll pair with writing markers and some postage stamps - I'm calling it A Year of Cheer. Those will probably be teacher, mother, MIL, and friend gifts.
I make yearly calendars for a couple of friends as a tradition. Need to get on those.
Any new babies in the family get a fleece tied blanket from me - have one of those to make this year.
One year - for men - I got family snapshots from each family and made them a framed shadowbox scrapbook page with their family pictures. Not sure the men really appreciated it. But it's an idea! Another year I made them "Survival Kits" in a decorated tin box (decorated with paper crafting supplies of course). Basics like a compass, small pocket knife, one of those window glass breaking tools, band aids, protein bar, a few other things went into the tins - they didn't go over fantastic either. None of my men gifts do.

The last time that I made family gifts, I etched the glass of Dollar Tree mugs with Star Wars clip art from the internet. Each took 3 hours to make, because the etching was detailed and wrapped around the mug, but they were inexpensive. They were a huge hit with the guys. I made personalized drawstring bags with fake snowballs for each child. They were fairly low cost, too, and the kids enjoyed them.
It’s been 5 years since I made gifts. We were pinched financially that year, too. My family has grown since, too. Figuring out what to make is challenging, though.

I make 12x12 LO's for my brother, niece, and nephews of them and their kids. They all have a 12x12 "roll-o-dex" to display them in.

I just make photo books. For the impossible to shop/make for people tbh I just stop giving them gifts. My BIL gets coffee and apparently he likes that. You'd never know. He doesn't much care about 98% of things he is given.
I hope you can find the right balance of affordable and doable for your family. My experience is that most people (young and old) enjoy things with photos and memories of their loved ones in some form.

I've done-
Pillow cases with the grankids' names on them (about 12" high letters). I cut the names out of fabric with my Silhouette then sewed them to the pillow case
Chef aprons (cheap from Amazon) with funny sayings on them cut out of HTV
Glass cutting boards ($6 from Walmart) names or kitchen /cooking phrases put on with Oracal 651
Glass block decorative lights
Holiday throw pillows, again phrases put on with vinyl
Coaster sets made with 4x4 ceramic tile, sharpies, rubbing alcohol and spray sealer
Kohl throws with names put on with vinyl
That's all I can think of tonight

The only thing I've thought of making is bookmarks for my daughter. Maybe a Christmas card for my mom.

I am going to make a travellers notebook cover and some inserts for my friends teen daughter and maybe my own daughter who is the same age. I am also thinking about making some cushions. I have been hoarding all of my husbands old t-shirts that have great coffee related prints (he is a coffee roaster) and I have some really bright Simpsons fabric that my kids would love so maybe I will make everyone some cushions. I have not made Christmas gifts in a really long time but my husband has taken a massive pay cut and even though we have savings at the moment Christmas could really eat into that so I will just have to make some time to make things this year I think.

I will probably make my sister and girlfriends a wreath, like this one, using my silhouette Where are you getting the wood circles? Thanks! DH found some at Home Depot, already cut and sanded. Before he found these, I had seen a wooden circle at Hobby Lobby that was intended to be painted as a baseball. It would have worked as well but the edges would have needed some sanding and DH found the other ones.

scrapnnana, would the guys on your list like tshirts with something punny on them? My son in law loved the Tshirt we got him that read BACON... what was the question? Older boys may like something like that too. How old are the boys? My "little guys" (aged 5 to 9) are quite into Beyblades. Each family has an arena and basic sets. But there are always new launchers and beyblades they like to collect. If they do, could you make a "locker" for each of them to store all the bits & pieces? Same would apply to Lego. For either one, you could repurpose some plastic containers and personalize them.

The ones from Home Depot were more expensive but definitely a better quality (and thicker). Probably about $10? Since I had the other supplies already, I didnt think the price was too bad.

I'm thinking of putting sayings on socks. I just ventured into HTV and got an EasyPress Mini that is my new gadget love. Also they would be easy to mail if we have to cancel big family gatherings this year.

I'll be making chocolate truffles and home-made IKEA Havreflarn biscuits (their oat and chocolate biscuits). I'll also attempt a Christmas shoebox scene for my SO's family since we won't be able to see them. I figure I've got the basics skills, tools and paper goods so I should be able to figure it out. I'll make it with the lid closed and a peeking hole. And tiny cut-outs of my SO and myself. Haven't made one since I was a kid, I believe! These used to be big a century or so ago...

I am making some baubles using Lavinia Stamps - see here---> laviniastamps.com/make-a-bauble and have already bought the printable downloads from Lavinia and printed them off onto acetate so just need to cut them out and assemble them. I am also thinking about making some sets of cards.
