Hello! This month is going so fast! This is pagemaps sketch from June 2017. I was drawn to to this sketch because I thought the border of small pieces of paper would be great for 2x2 cut aparts. I ended up going a bit of different direction once I found my photos. It's a bit of different sketch and I hope you have fun with it. Page Maps June 2917 by Joyfulnana, on Flickr And here's my take on it - Heart Eyes by Joyfulnana, on Flickr Hidden journaling under the photos as I just couldn't get it to work lol. If you are team member your twist is to add stitching. Hand stitching, faux stitching, etc. Any type of stitches. Add 3 points if you add a cluster of at least 3 hearts - hearts do not have to be stitched.

Here is mine. Had saved all these tiny scraps of Wild Whisper, and got to use them today with some other diecuts and scraps from my HIKING tub. Hiking covid style by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Got the stitching... (kinda an after thought, but it is THERE)! And the cluster of hearts. What a fun challenge, joyfulnana!

Linda, that is such a great idea for a title page. I haven't finished mine, but I may do another for a title page too. That was a great use of it. I love the papers you have used. So beachy and tropical! joyfulnana and grammadee, you have love in the gallery.

I have to admit when I saw this sketch I thought "oh no". This one will definitely be a challenge for me! I've left praise in the gallery for the layouts that linked there. Linda I love the clean lines of your border, I feel like this is a version of the sketch I can do!

joyfulnana Thank you for such a fun sketch! I tried twice (and failed) to come up with something using little bits to create the borders along the page. I promise, I tried! I LOVE your take on the challenge - the colorful stitching works so well against the black background! grammadee I like that the clustered bits resemble a tree creating a canopy over your photo cluster! Really cute! Linda I like how you've incorporated the die cut into your title. I find that hard to do, but it fits in so naturally! Cute title page! nylene Awesome border! I love sketches that allow for using scraps (if you want!) and this does it so well. Really cute story and photo, too! ETA: wendy crowe I love how your stitching creates a border for your squares to rest against, like it's keeping them from "falling" off the page. My first attempt at this sketch I tried using squares and rectangles similar to the sketch. I couldn't get it to work to my satisfaction, so scrapped it for circles. I used a circle punch on a piece of water color paper (covered in gelatos) and tried again, but no. The circles are now in the bin! I ended up using some torn strips to create some weight opposite the photo cluster. I fussed around with trying to find something to go along the top edge, but in the end I couldn't make it work. I used a rotary stamp to create skinny (and messy!) stitches. There is a trio of hearts above the "smile often" cluster for the extra twist points.

Here’s mine. I flipped it upside down and didn’t fill in the side completely. I also used some faux stitching from a pocket card along the bottom and put a few hearts in the bottom corner. 2020 Sketchtember #18
