Head in the Clouds getting no love breaks my heart a little. It's so incredibly fun for Disney adventures and clearly dear to Shimelle's heart... Still, I voted Sparkle City just because the embellishments were top notch. I'm easily swayed with a big of perfectly thought-out die-cuts... and don’t forget the cute pigeons!

I just put in in the middle because I found it to be a bit harder to use and a little bit more strongly themed than usual. My youngest loves unicorns too, so it is great for her phtotos I used the mermaids for swimming class photos though...not everything needs to be super literal.

I thought I would share this with you guys as I finally got to make the layout I had been thinking about for ages... I have been thinking since RBG passed away about inspirational women. This layout is really important to me...it is a photograph of my mother Dr Carole Cope, she is an archaeologist and a major inspiration in life. While we didn't always get along in everything in my life this woman knew what she wanted to be and followed her dreams. She went to university in her thirties and got her doctorate in archaeology. Not only that, she works in her field and is highly respected and a world expert in zooarchaeology. She gave me the courage to go back to university in my 40's to get my RN degree! I have been hoarding this Museum Monday paper from Shimelle's Field Trip kit to make a layout about her.

I saw this posted on fb but didn't comment. That paper is so perfect for this page. I love the story, she's such a wonderful role model and I love how she's inspired you to follow your own dreams.

Oh my goodness Chinagirl828 thank you so much for your kind comments. I somehow missed replying to you until now. I really wanted to get this story down for so long, but I was afraid to cut the paper...my lesson for today...cut the paper!

It is so interesting to hear everyone's thoughts. I am not sure what I will buy now that she has stopped designing...I sometimes buy a little Dear Lizzy or Crate Paper but I feel at a loss to fill the more neutral, outdoorsy or adventure based layouts now. Maybe some Simple Stories or Echo Park/Carta Bella? Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape is my current favorite outdoor line if you are going with a woodsy theme. Echo Park has a lot of good outdoor themes that are a bit more specific. If you have Tuesday Morning around, some of the old Carta Bella outdoor designs have been reprinted with the EP name and are cheaper ($ and quality) than their original Carta Bella printing.

That said, she had my all time favourite blue polka dot on the reverse of one of the florals in True Stories, and I loved the florals in that collection as well. I could have written this, word for word! If I ever found a 25 pack of that polka dot paper I would snap it up! I also loved the florals in this collection, and loved how they worked on boy pages!
