Now that Shimelle will no longer be designing for AC (boo, hiss!) I have been reflecting on my favourites of her collections...
I bought all of her collections, some of them I bought multiple times. I always found her papers to be usable and fresh.
I think Field Trip is probably at the top, with Go Now Go, Starshine and Never Grow Up.
My least favourite was probably Glitter Girl.
I am feeling the need to pad my Field Trip collection out a bit as soon it will be unavailable!
What about you guys? What are your favourites and least favourites?

Christmas Magic. Loved the vintage feel. I was always hoping she would do another Christmas line! I loved the dark woodgrain in that one especially and the cute little trees.

Little by Little. I'm still hoarding it. I didn't mention Little by Little but I did really love quite a lot of that collection, and I used it a tonne. It was a very versatile collection, good for kids and babies but also other things. I especially loved the bold painted looking background papers. I still have a bunch left, including quite a lot of my 6x6 pad. Which is a good thing because I can't find the 12x12 pads or papers anywhere...

Box of Crayons and Sparkle City
I thought I'd be reaching for Never Grow Up more, but I just haven't been. Maybe I'm just not scrapping with the right bunch of photos to really take advantage of what it has to offer.

Little by Little. I'm still hoarding it. I'm tied between Little by Little and FieldTrip, she really had great A and B sides!

I voted for Christmas Magic, but my most used is probably Go Now Go due to an abundance of travel pics. I also have some serious love for Starshine and a soft spot for Shimelle. Although some of her later collections were not as applicable for me theme-wise, they always had great b-sides. I think that is where AC really shines, and I'm very sad that Shimelle is no longer designing for them. I hope that someone else picks her up.

It's so hard to pick a favorite, I love so many of them. But if I was stuck on a desert island and could only have three Shimelle collections to scrap with, they would be: Field Trip Starshine Go Now Go! I will miss her collections

I loved the fun colours in Box of Crayons, but sometimes found the creams harder to work with. Even though I like cream bases in OA ...
Never Grow Up has those gorgeous hand drawn woodgrains. I am still working my way through NGU but I think it works for me because I have a lot of outdoorsy, hiking, kids exploring type photos. I just used the full page tree background paper and was very pleased with the results.

I loved Go Now Go, and may have done more LOs with that one than any of her other collections. I think I repurchased some of it twice! I am still hoarding extra sheets of the suitcase and apple papers! You are right about the B-sides too. I often had to buy multiple sheets of her papers as I loved both sides. I hope she gets picked up too if that is what she wants...I think Echo Park/Carta Bella would be a good fit for her perhaps.

I love those especially too. So sad she won't be with AC anymore!
I notice most people are mentioning Glitter Girl as their least favourite. Why is it your least favourite? I love the colour palette but for some reason I found the collection very hard to use, maybe it was the icons/themes? My guess for Head in the Clouds (which I personally liked) is the theme, it really doesn't work for everyone.
I notice Sparkle City is popular, why do you guys love it? Purples? I admit it grew on me more after I bought it...

here's where I admit that I really wanted to like her collections but struggled to use the one I did have (True Stories, I think). I love the looks of many of them (Field trip) but they don't always work with my scrapbooking style (plain and simple)

I said Field Trip (not a lot of papers fill this theme), but I really love Never Grow Up too.

Field Trip is such a good one for me. I do love that she made a collection with these themes that works for boys, girls, adults and kids. Growing up I wanted to be a paleontologist for awhile, and I still love dinosaurs. My mother is an archeologist so I keep trying to find a good picture of her to use with this collection.

I am also hoarding Little by Little. But this is a tough choice! So many good ones! I've probably used Go Now Go the most, but Field Trip is up there, too.

I found the more collections she created the further apart her style and mine became, so while I'm super glad she created papers that got you all excited to create, I've only really bought a couple of pieces from each of her lines. That said, she had my all time favourite blue polka dot on the reverse of one of the florals in True Stories, and I loved the florals in that collection as well.

Field Trip is my favorite Shimelle line for many of the same reasons--I majored in Archaeolgy in college, and my son was a dino freak growing up. We are a family of science geeks, so this collection works well for so many family museum trips and childhood memories. Sparkle City was one of my least favorite lines because the purples and pinks were such cool tones, not my fave to scrap with. But once I really looked at the papers and icons, I fell in love with it for scrapping trips to NYC and other big cities. Might need to pick up a few more sheets before it's gone

I love the looks of many of them (Field trip) but they don't always work with my scrapbooking style (plain and simple) I’m with you. For me, since I don’t have kids, her juvenile style is hard to work with. But I love them for what they are!

I’m using sparkle city to scrap my dog. The papers work great for walks in the park, etc. plus, he’s a Husky and loves snow, so the cool tone colors are great for winter picks when he is so active.

I love all of her collections, but my favorite are:
Field Trip Go Now Go Sparkle City Never Grow Up
Sparkle City was awesome for my Seattle trips and I’ve used it a ton.

Starshine speaks my mid-90s teenage self; followed by Little by Little and Sparkle City.
Go Now Go was my least favorite, but only because of the color palette. I have a hard time working with warmer colors.

I might as well just send Shimelle my paycheck because I’ve loved every single collection. I listed Starshine as my fave. As time passes, I’m finding her original collection to be the hardest for me to work with. Field Trip was perfectly timed. It came out when my daughter did a wax museum project as Neil Armstrong. Never Grow Up is another I like. Partly for the colors. Partly because that was the collection in her booth when I went to Creativation. I have loved everything she’s put out.

Field trip I guess. I find her collections hard too use personally. I think she is a sweet, fun person but found a lot of her papers too bold for me.

Field Trip Never Grow Up Box of Crayons Sparkle City
I scrap a lot of boy pages so those work really well for me. I was not a real fan of her earlier collections.
I love scrapping with her lines. I am going to miss them so much.

It is so interesting to hear everyone's thoughts. I am not sure what I will buy now that she has stopped designing...I sometimes buy a little Dear Lizzy or Crate Paper but I feel at a loss to fill the more neutral, outdoorsy or adventure based layouts now. Maybe some Simple Stories or Echo Park/Carta Bella?

I think her style would translate well to Photoplay! I find Photoplay a little more whimsical and creative, kind of like her. I love echo park, but each collection kinda has the same prescription... the patterns might be different but the presentation is pretty much the same, if that makes sense. I don’t see Shimelle wanting to constrict herself to that box.

I have been buying a bit of Photoplay from time to time. They do have a bit of whimsy like Shimelle. Good call.

Head in the Clouds getting no love breaks my heart a little. It's so incredibly fun for Disney adventures and clearly dear to Shimelle's heart... Still, I voted Sparkle City just because the embellishments were top notch. I'm easily swayed with a big of perfectly thought-out die-cuts...
