I was just wondering what everyone was thinking of the new Life Documented Planner by Simple Stories. I'm really disappointed that there isn't a paper line with their release, it's just all the planner stuff. It's sad to watch all these companies drift away from scrapbooking.

Haha, there ya go! I don't necessarily like all the patterns, but I think that looks good for the intro/extro pages of my PL album for 2015. Personally, I don't get the whole planner phase, but I guess SAHMs and scrapbookers in general are super busy! I *do* think it's really a good idea that SS, and other companies in general, are branching out because that means they'll catch other markets and be with us longer. As long as they keep supporting us, the papercrafters, I definitely thing other avenues are good.

I'm loving Simple Stories collections these days, but I don't intend to get into planners. I am, however, making my first attempt at pocket-page memory keeping. Their collection kits are nice because they offer a variety of items, and I like the graphics and colors a lot. Not too trendy, not too cutesy, but still fun and up to date.
OP, It's interesting to see that they read your post, and had something to answer your needs - like they read your mind and created it just for you! That's what I call good product development!

I want to get a planner to use next year and love the patterns/options in this line.!
The only thing that I'm not nuts about is using a 3-ring binder. I want something more like a notebook (like an Erin Condren planner). I guess I could get it bound myself but then that eliminates the option of making changes, though I guess I run into the same problem with an EC planner. I just don't want a leather binder - way too big and bulky.
Anyone have any ideas?

Ahiller, have you considered the Arc planner system by Staples? Link

Thanks Simple Stories! What a relief! No interest in the planner but I really like the collection and the snow one from today!
