A friend of mine posted this meme, and I realized I had forgotten all about them! I never wore them - I'm too short-waisted so they would have made it look like my butt started at my shoulders LOL! They were very popular here in Houston, especially during rodeo time and going out two steppin'. Most girls wore them extra long with Ropers, both the regular ones and the lace up ones.

Nope, never heard of them. Also, I've never heard of Ropers. Jeans without back pockets were a thing for a minute or two here way back when. I know I owned a pair. Seattle, if it makes a difference.

Absolutely but only for horse people I think. I couldn't afford them but a friend gave me a pair. I thought I was all that!

They were a thing with teen girls in Houston maybe 6-7 year ago, but the girls don’t wear them any more. “Butt bling” is no longer a thing. LOL To answer the OP, I had some jeans like that in high school or college, but they weren't any fancy brand. Maybe Lee.

Never heard of them and probably would not have worn them. Also didn't know what Ropers were until they were explained above. I'm on the East coast.

Never heard of the jeans or ropers (WA state) or any jeans without back pockets, actually! They look weird to me.

Never heard of them (outside Chicago). Jeans without back pockets are good though. Sometimes pockets make my butt look bigger....

Nope I never heard of those.
Early 90’s was when my SIL ( well soon to be SIL at that point ) have a temper tantrum because she only got 1 pair of Cavarichis - I remember the tantrum pretty well it was over an hour long ( she was a teen ) lots of screaming & banging but hadn’t heard of the jeans before that, nor after that for that matter. Not my style I guess.

Yep, the daughters and I were at the Boot Barn in Deer Park getting our Ropers and Rockies on a regular basis. I wore the lace up kind of Ropers and the Rockies were a little bit dressier than Lees or Levis. The Lees were everyday wear while cause they lasted longer, but I taught school in my Rockies.

Yep! Wore those to the country bars for dancing for a good part of college. I know I had probably 15 pairs! And both lace up and regular Ropers to go with!

Oh yes. I went from HS looking preppy with double Izod shirts with ked's to College and wearing Rockies with lace up ropers.
My daddy was so happy to start taking me to Boot Barn or Cavender's for my clothes.
Jennifer.

Those are unfortunate looking. Never heard of them but they definitely have a western or wranglers vibe, which I have always hated.
I grew up in the Bay Area, then moved to Utah for my last five months of high school and everyone wore Girbaud jeans, which were also stupid looking and I had never heard of before.

Never heard of them in CA, OR and CO - the three states I lived in in the 90s.
Nor Ropers for that matter.

Nope, never heard of them or the boots. I am in California.
We did have pocketless jeans, don’t remember exactly when though, I think in the 80’s maybe?

Not popular in Tucson that I recall, or in the Denver area (I lived both places in the 90;s).

Never had those jeans, but I do own a (few pair of ropers: black, red, black lace up, red lace up, and a pair of Ariat Fat Babys.
I am not a horse person. Have never been a horse person. Will never be a horse person.
But I do love a good roper. They are so comfortable.

I would never voluntarily give up pockets, especially on jeans. I remember people wearing them in the late 80's.
