I was googling for a street view of an address (a bit out in the country so it's difficult to discern the house number from the road and easier when I know what I'm looking for), and it showed a barefoot woman walking across the front yard while talking on the phone and appearing to look directly at the Google truck. There were several vehicles in the yard and driveway, one of which announced very clearly the occupation of one of the residents (the manner in which it was parked made it clear it's not a vistor's car). Person's face and all vehicle license plate numbers were blurred out.
Anyhow, it's the first time I've ever run across a person in a private home's street view (clearly I don't look at them often). I googled my address and it just showed the outside of our parking garage and the building's parking lot. The Google truck clearly took the photo(s) from in our parking lot which I think is odd, but whatever. I googled my last 2 single-family homes and there was nothing of interest there either.
It got me curious. Do you have anything vaguely interesting going on in your home's Google street view? If so, tell us about it!

It shows our house about a year or so before we bought it. A crappy mini van (license plate blurred), little kids toys, a god awful trellis, dead grass, crappy cheap grill and overgrown flower bed. We had bought it after the previous tenants moved out and the landlord died. It was empty so we never saw that crap except on Google Street view.

The house the year before we moved in (2012) and you can look at the previous photo (2007) and it looks exactly the same except the garage door is open in 2007...
I swear the house across the street used to have the kids in the yard making faces at the Google car as it drove by, but somehow that has been edited out.

The pretty willow tree that’s no longer in our yard because my landlord cut it back too far and it died.
The cute dogs that belonged to the owners previous to my landlord 😊.

No, nothing unusual or fun....just our house, the tree-filled acre we live on, and the car I drove several years ago. Unusual only because I usually always park(ed) in the garage. The cute dogs that belonged to the owners previous to my landlord 😊. Aww....I'd love to see ours, but the photo was taken before we had doggies.

I'd never looked before. In front of my neighbor's house is a kid on a bike that could very easily be ds depending on when it was taken (I can't seem to zoom in enough to see the color/brand of bike).

Wow. That’s a really old picture. It had to have been taken not too terribly long after we moved in just over 10 years ago. The lawn looks terrible, just like when we bought the house. There are only two pine trees in the front yard and they are really small. Since then we have planted another pine tree and a maple tree. The pine trees are now almost as tall as the house. The other bushes are really small too.
ETA: I finally could see the date. July 2011. That a year after we moved in. I should have guessed that because everyone has their old roofs. We had a hail storm that had golf ball size hail and all the houses on my street had to have their roofs replaced. I also can't tell if my fence is there. The satellite view is very limited because our backyard is 90% trees.

It was taken before we owned he house. There are three cars parked in front, the trash can is out on the road (only house on the street with the trash can out) A split rail fence along the front of the property that wasn't there when we bought the house, and 5 trees that are no longer there, 3 we took down, 2 that probably died on their own.
The property next door is a trash heap of an empty lot. If it had looked like that when we looked at this house I doubt we would have purchased it. Instead we got to learn about the crazy next door after we were locked in.

Mine has to be a few years old, since the tree in the front flower bed now reaches way above the second story window. My ds's car is in the front of the house.

There is/was a web site with images from the street view that were funny/unique etc. I looked for it the other day and many of the images had been removed. My son found himself in one of the images of a business area of Ottawa. He remembered noticing the google car going by. A few months later he looked up the intersection and there he was, walking back to the office after lunch.

I’m not sure what year it was taken, but it’s at least a few years old because it’s before our neighbor’s home got a face lift about 2 years ago. Our recycle bin is on the curb, still full, so it was a Wednesday before 3pm. I don’t know why I find that so funny.

We live in an apartment, so it's not exciting, but one of my husband's favorite things to do is go on street view in areas he's been and "walk" around. He found his brother in law walking their dogs.

The last Google street view is from the month before we bought our house. It has the real estate sign up and the previous owners two cars in the driveway.
OMG I looked again and I never noticed it before but you can see the previous owner in the back mowing the yard. I had to zoom in to really see it was a person. I never really looked at that portion of the picture before. I only did this time because we DID have an empty lot next door, but there is now a house there darn it.
Three years and I never noticed until now.

Our van in the driveway, license blurred out. All my bumper sticker magnets although you can't read them. Our "Hate Has No Home Here" sign. The pink flamingo in the tree with the two zombie flamingoes on the ground under the tree. (yes, we're weird ) That's it.

A lot of trees, a smidgen of our driveway and a very small peek of the house.

My house has a large vase in the window and brown curtains, so it must have been taken when my mum still lived here. She died in 2013. And the house next door shows signs of her friend living there, and she died in 2012!

I'm surprised ours is only a year old--there's a yard sign for a fundraiser at DS's school that was held last year. Not surprisingly, you can barely see our house because of the tree in the front yard; it's a good view of the houses next door though. I can also tell what day of the week it was taken because I can see our recycling trash can behind the neighbor's car that's parked on the street.

The closest street view to our place is the highway about 3/4 mile away. There's no street view on our road. You can't see much. House, barn, silo.

Since I started doing Instacart, sometimes I have to google to get back home from a customer's house. The first time I did it, I was taken aback because I saw my deceased SO's car parked in my driveway.

Mine shows the house that burned down 3 years ago. We have a very different rebuilt house now. We also lost 5 trees so that is different too,

no streetview for our current house (our property isn't visible from the street at all). The satellite view shows DD20's running track she's worn in the grass of the backyard and all but one of our vehicles. No people or animals visible
