Our next door neighbor is bent over in her garden! She has a beautiful, bountiful garden in her front yard.
My sister's view shows her and her nephew-in-law waving at the google vehicle from her garage. They contacted google to have their faces blurred out.

On one of my old homes the photo was 5 houses down I guess it must happen quite a bit I live in a cul de sac and there isn’t a street view for my small little street. Google shows the house on the main busy street behind me. (Our backyards face each other.)

Googling my house number shows nothing but trees. However googling the address across the street allows me to spin the image and my house shows up perfectly.

We just get trees on our Google street. In our previous house, from the Google satellite image, you can see where my DH put out grass squares in areas that needed it. The acre and half our house sat on looks like a drunk checkerboard!

My sister's house is rather uniquely situated. Her backyard and carport exit to another street, but it is actually it is a very short dead end sort of extension of that street. Google Street view for her house showed the backyard and carport, not the front of her home. She notified google and within a few weeks they had corrected the image to show the front of the house.

We bought a new home this year and this thread Is the first time I thought to check google street view. The house is on 4.25 acres up a winding driveway so there’s essentially no image of the house itself. I’m a tad disappointed and a tad glad about the anonymity.

We bought a second home last year and my husband spent most of the year renovating it (along with his actual full time job). The google photo from the front of the house shows the newly painted home with a new roof, windows, etc, etc, but the view from the side (it's on a corner lot) shows the old version of the house with iron bars over the windows, falling down fence and an obnoxious bush whose roots had eaten through the sewer line. We yanked the entire bush out just before we had the line replaced.

Our street view doesn’t show anything exciting at our house but the neighbors across the street were having their oldest’s high school open house that day and you can see them getting ready.

It’s interesting how some of these are literally little random snippets of time...

I googled my mom's address once. I then followed the view down the street and saw her and a few friends outside a neighbor's house. It was a bitter sweet view because she had passed away the month before, and shortly after that Google updated the photo.

Our street view is several years old, but I can tell it was taken in the Spring because there is a family of Canadian geese walking thru the yard. We have a pond and there is another pond across the street. In the Spring those crazy geese walk their babies back and forth between the two ponds several times a day.

Ours is from 11 years ago. The hedges are cut back very severely. We need to do that again, and endure the dead-looking ends until it leafs out again. No people. ETA: I also realised that the address is wrong on Google Maps. The correct address takes me to a different house in the next road. I reported it.

Nothing as my house was built 5 years ago and although it shows up on google earth satellite from above, it doesn’t show a street view. Although street view does show my dad crossing the road outside of his home.

If you're on street view, some views have a little clock with an arrow and will let you choose from different pictures they have. I always had hoped I'd see my grandma in her kitchen, but to no avail.

The current picture was taken July 2018.

Mine has my mother in law walking in our driveway. She must have come over right as they drove by.

If you look at your home photo or any of the homes/photos down in the lower right corner there is tiny writing. There is a date as to when Google took the photo.

Our street view is very old (pre-2010) and shows our dog chasing after the car. We’ve since put up a fence and have an entrance gate.

I looked up dh's brother's house and the picture was of his other brother standing in the driveway smoking a cigarette (he had told everyone he had quit😂). It was funny to see the other brother there since they don't live in the same state.

There is no street view. The satellite just shows my car in the driveway but it's a grainy image.

You can't see our present house from the street because it's set back in the woods a bit. But when I googled a house we sold 8 years ago, you can still see our old van in the driveway.

The photo of my place was taken Oct 2019 but nothing has changed. There's nothing interesting on mine, just a random guy walking past the front of the building

Well, i can tell you that the photos were taken around this time of the year, about 8 years ago. The trees are turning just a little more than they are today. The squad for the cop that lived three doors down is parked there. (His house is completely blurred out!) I hadn’t given up on this one stubborn planting spot at the front of the house and had a clematis trying to hang on.
We use street view a bit at work when the angle on our satellite imaging doesn’t give us everything we want to see. Our public works crew is caught in photos all over town. Their faces are always blurred, but we can tell what year photos are from by crew members who are no longer working for us.

Ugh. I HATE our google street view! There's one from 2007 and one from 2011. Previous owners. Property looks like crap. We've done a lot in the 3 1/2 years we've lived here. I've had several people tell us what a great job we're doing. Can't wait for the google cameras to go by again!

My husband's old car that he totaled about 3 years ago. The crepe myrtle in my yard was only about 4 feet tall - it's now closer to 25 feet. Must've been taken in spring because the plants in my window boxes were piddly looking and barely noticeable.
