Congratulations Tampa.
I love the Cup. I love hockey and I am happy that they were able to do the playoffs in this period of Covid.
Way to go, NHL!
Can't wait for pre-season.

If the Isles had to lose, at least it was to the eventual winners of the Cup.
Congratulations to the Lightning.
Now they can all go home to their families.

My hubby is a lucky charm, I swear! He moved to Toronto and the Blue Jays won the World Series. He moved to Denver and the Avs won the Stanley Cup AND the Broncos won back to back Superbowls. He moved to Seattle and the Seahawks won the Superbowl. Then he moved to Tampa and the Lightning just won the Stanley Cup.
WOOT! I'll sell him to the highest bidder for a big enough sum, lol!

WOOOOOO! Another hockey fan. I've been a Caps fan since I was a tween. I was actually rooting for Dallas so I could have a Game 7. But I really like Tampa and though they were going to win from the first Round Robin game. Also their coach is such a nice guy.
And Lord Stanley is the best trophy in all sports!

Congrats to the Bolts fans here and condolences to any Stars fans! I'm a Red Wings fan so it's exciting to see a team that Stevie built win the cup.
Also want to say, way to go for the NHL bubble who kept our players safe and healthy!

I didn't know that your husband was up for sale. There are long time stretches between all of those wins. None of them were consecutive wins, though.

Caps fan here saying congratulations to the Lightning on winning the Cup! I was kind of leaning towards TB in the final, but I have to say I was very impressed with Anton Khudobin (Dobby) and his great performance in the last 2 series'. Plus, the Stars knocked out Vegas so they get style points for that alone, in my book.
Sigh...it was nice to have hockey back, if only for a while. I think the NHL did a fantastic job with their handling of the pandemic and establishment of the bubble to keep players, coaches and staff safe. And now the Caps get to break in a new coach. It'll be interesting.

I also think that the entire NHL establishment did a tremendous lot of work to keep everyone safe and give us some really great hockey. It was really hard on the players and their families and everyone else. Now for the next season!

Rangers fan checking in. I enjoyed watching these playoffs and I think the NHL did a good job with the bubble and the series. Happy for our former capt Ryan McDonough on the cup win. .
Sad because tomorrow the Rangers are buying out Henrik Lundqvist's contract. It's going to be very strange not seeing him in a Rangers uniform again. Looking forward to the draft one week from tonight and watching the Rangers select the #1 pick.
What an awesome sport!

It was a great experience watching the games leading up to the final. If you are on Facebook check out ICE District. They posted some cool videos of life in the bubble in Edmonton. How they created the fan sounds for each team, the music, the cool hotels, the food trucks in the enclosed plaza and all the activities to keep everyone happy. I live in Edmonton and we have had the nicest weather since this started. It has just been perfect.
Now I am waiting to hear how they are going to manage the next season.

That long stretch killed the Bruins momentum. I was so disgusted when they got knocked out. Then I was rooting for the Av's since I live in CO. When it came down to TB & Dallas, I was rooting for Tampa Bay, so good for them! Next season seems sooo long away.
Baseball was a failure that I don't even want to think about. Next year HAS to be better for the Red Sox!

Even though I moved to St. Louis 1 1/2 years ago, I’m still a Lightning fan. So I’m thrilled!

(Because 99% of our trips involve hockey somehow, and this one will be no different.)

Huge hockey family here. I really enjoyed watching these games without fans in the arena. You could hear them skating and stopping. The hits sounded so much louder, even the players talking.

I have mixed feelings about it. I did enjoy the things you point out, especially the players talking. I love catching bits of their trash talk! On the other side, there's something missing with the energy of the fans, and I want to be able to go to games!! Baseball NEEDS fans. I don't like empty stands, and this is the first season in years that I didn't go to at least 1 game. If the Red Sox come to Denver, I go to all those games. When they don't, I go to at least a random game or 2 each season because I love live baseball. I try to plan trips back home during baseball season so I can get a trip to Fenway in.

I still think they should have piped in booing for Gary Bettman. Would've been more realistic.
