I have lots of dies and a machine or two to use them. Sometimes though I would like something custom. I saw the Joy and thought that might work for cardmaking or other smaller items like titles. Wondering what people are thinking about it by now.

No, but I want one. 90% of the time I work small and this would be great. However I simply can’t justify the price point at this time. While it’s the machine I am most interested in buying right now, it’s also the one I can least justify its price for.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I have the Joy and love its size, portability, and the ability to make quick cards with it. I also really like being able to make small die cuts and vinyl projects from my bedroom, instead of having to go all the way to the basement to deal with my larger machine. That said, I feel like - for me - it is a great supplement, but not a replacement for my Silhouette Cameo or the Maker, since I want to be able to make larger projects as well. It is pricey for what it is, but I don't regret my purchase.

It's so cool how it writes inside a card. I've never had a problem with it cutting paper or Cardstock, either. I use my Silhouette for larger projects, but having to figure out the cutting depth and speed is such a pain in the butt. I really like using the Joy for my Project Life. I don't like to spend too much time on my weekly PL spread and the Joy makes cutting die cuts and titles, etc. very easy, simple, and quick.

I am glad to see peas good reviews for this. I guess I’ll start saving up, look for sales, etc.

I honestly thought this was the craziest thing... until just recently. I have just started doing epoxy tumblers and having the Cricut Joy would be super helpful for cutting vinyl decals for them. My Cameo used to sit on my desk, but as my hobbies increased and now I no longer just scrapbook, I keep it in a cabinet and have to pull it out every time I want to use it. I think the Cricut Joy is something that might end up owning very soon!

I have been loving mine recently! I was making ornaments and just wanted to cut a simple circle. I didn't have a punch big enough, so brought out the Joy. It was perfect. I use the app on my phone and it's easy to figure it out. I have a Cameo, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting it out etc. My work station is down to about a 12X12 area and the Joy fits in it!

I would love one. The small size appeals to me. The app intrigues me! I keep holding out because I have a Cameo that I never use. Having said that I think the Cameo size intimidates me.

I just bought one online with a JoAnn gift card I received from my son. I gave away my Silhouette Cameo to a friend after I realized I hadn’t used it in about three years and it was just collecting dust and taking space. I think I’ll get more use from the Joy, especially since I can control it from my iPad and I do everything on my iPad. I’ve been playing around with Cricut Design Space and it seems pretty intuitive and easy. I’m excited 😊.

I have had my Joy since Cricut released it. I absolutely love it. I use it for so many different things! I make cards, small die cuts & titles for scrapbooking, monograms for cups & tumblers, etc. My granddaughters love to personalize everything & it is so much easier to use it to just cut a monogram or two instead of having to lug out my Explore Air 2 or my Maker. I keep my Joy on one of the Michael’s rolling carts & it is set up & ready to go whenever I need it to cut something small, quick & easy My Maker & Air 2 handle all the big projects but I find myself using the Joy more often than them. Never thought I’d use it as much as I do. So in my case, it has more that justified the price.

How wide is the cutting area of the Joy?
You peas are making me think I need one.

Darn, wish I would have seen it for sale at the Target price with the gift card. That was a great deal.

How wide is the cutting area of the Joy? You peas are making me think I need one. The mat allows 4.5 x 6 size paper. I have one and love it for smaller projects

My Joy arrived from JoAnn yesterday and I was excited to use it because I wanted to cut some vinyl names for my kids’ stockings, but I was so disappointed when I quickly realized they had sent me a previously opened and used (and abused) machine. I didn’t even try to use it because it was so clearly not new. That’s a JoAnn issue though, not a Cricut one, and I’ve already started the process to return it. I may just go directly to the source at Cricut to purchase a new one.

Target has another deal on the Joy. I'm contemplating it, but not sure if I will use it enough. It's $30 off plus a $20 GC. I really would like the portability of taking it back and forth to school with me, but for $20 more I can get the Explore Air 2 (I have the original Explore Air) so I'm not sure the Joy makes sense. I actually don't really need to update the Air, but the Air 2 is twice as fast. Apparently I just want to buy something and should back away.
