I subbed too! The colors and style of Kelly's are next to none. I definitely see some live.life.paper influences in there too which I'm not a big fan of but it's minimal and the stamp is very Kelly style.

So, based on how KP works, the mini-kits will be available for separate (non-sub) purchase? Yes. They have always been available as separate purchases but subscribers have first dibs and a percentage off. That was my question as well - so I'm guessing if I don't sub, the Holiday stuff will be gone before I can get my grubby little hands on it?

In previous years (or maybe just last year??), she has withheld some kits for when everyone is allowed to purchase.

So is anyone subbing (besides mich5481 , who said she already did!)? I don't want to lock into a 12 mo sub, especially since I've scrapped absolutely ZERO of 2020, but I am liking what I'm seeing and a discount for holiday stuff would be nice. I'm thinking about just doing the 3-month sub until I decide if I like the new direction things are going, but $29 is hefty for what you get. I will more than likely sub. This year I quit my SC Documenter sub, I was so bored with their kits. I was pretty burned out on my PL type documenting too - I was doing pocket pages by the month and adding 9x12 layouts here and there. I have been using stuff from my stash to do 6x8 pocket pages + AE Story Kit, and I'm ok with what I've done, but I would like to get back into the rhythm of doing more - perhaps sticking with 6x8 and ditching the AE sub (again). Seems like the KP monthly themes are a bit more relatable than SCs same old rehashes, too.

Seems like the KP monthly themes are a bit more relatable than SCs same old rehashes, too. I think KP's approach to thematics is one of the strongest on the market. I went through all my stamp sets this summer and got rid of many. SC, Ali Edwards, etc. However, I kept all bar one of the KP ones in my stash. They're just solid, well thought-out and very easy to reuse and adapt. They've aged well. She's also super punny and original which is a big plus in my book. If you like Geralyn's work for SC, you'll like KP.

The links to the new shop and subs don’t work for me and I can’t find it in a google search. Is it only open to certain people or is it just my iPad or my internet connection playing tricks on me?

I subscribed within 15 minutes of the e-mail hitting my inbox. Here's why, I did it: Studio Calico DK Kit(I know there are others): 12 months for $25.99/month This month's kit includes: 5 - 4x6 double-sided journal cards 26 - 3x4 double-sided journal cards 1 - 3" transparency circle 1 - 3x4 stamp set by Goldenwood Co + Kiley in Kentucky 9 - .5" wood veneer cameras 1 - 4x6 chipboard shapes sheet 1 - 3x8 alpha sticker set (2 sheets) 1 - 4x6 kraft sticker sheet 1 - Washi roll, approximately 1" Paper Person debut October kit: $20.99/month for 12 months + $4 shipping Debut kit: - one 4x6 stamp set - one 12x12 Crate Paper double sided patterned paper - two 12x12 Pebbles double sided patterned papers - sixteen 3x4 cards and four 4x6 cards printed on two 12x12 double sided cut apart papers - one 6x12 embellishment sticker sheet - one 6x12 teal alphabet sticker sheet I don't mind cutting apart the paper. I do think it will be thinner than the usual journaling cards, but I was also fine with purchasing the "Hey Santa" paper that I would've cut to use and that paper isn't on the thick side either. I like that she's mixing it up with other collections because that opens it up for me to purchase more from those other collections, similar to SC scrapbook kit. I easily could've done this before, but I hope this means her colors are more true to the collection and not the questionable red issues we have sometimes (not her necessarily, just generally speaking). I love her alphas. I know I will get more than 2 A's in a sheet. I enjoy having bigger stamps. 4x6 stamp is a big seller for me. The SC does have more embellishments, but let's be real. We complain about those reruns all the time. There was also the conversation about plastic type waste, too. I agree the rebrand was a combination of taking the focus off KP and the Covid killing her other travel job, but I'm happy she's back in whatever capacity. I'll cross my fingers and toes the customer service issues have also been resolved. ETA: I'm not an Office person, so I didn't get the reference. I assumed it was more a "this isn't just for girls" type thing? I could've been reading way more into it than you're supposed to.. Maybe also not just scrapbooking, but just paper. /shrug We could talk about it all day, I think.. I do hope there's more info though. I think the reason I received the initial e-mail was I was a previous kit subscriber and all other newsletter subscribers will receive an e-mail tomorrow. Except for not being an Office person, I completely agree with this post. I subbed quick. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. That is my all-time favorite lead-in on the Office!

cbscrapperI say that at least once a day. No reason, generally no lead in, it Just pops in my head so I say it. Sometimes I am the only human around when I say it. It just makes me ridiculously happy. Once upon a time my husband and I were staying at a Quality Inn and behind the check in counter, next to their printer, was a box of paper that said Dundler Mifflin on it. My husband and I freaked out and the lady let us go back and take a photo of it, it was just what their printer paper came in. It said on the side “Our motto is ‘Quabity First”. We were all laughing so hard, she hasn’t even noticed it but she was a fan of the Office too. When we checked out the next day it was the same lady at the counter and as we were leaving she told us, “Thanks for staying at Quabity Inn”. Anyway, back to everyone’s regularly scheduled program.

That’s so awesome. I bought my son a Shrute Farms t-shirt, and almost got one for myself that said Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. He’s a cross-country runner, so I also got him a race for the cure fun run shirt. He loved them both. 😉

Well, I signed up for a 3-month sub. Super expensive, but the 50% off helped and maybe I’ll sign up for a longer term sub at the end of the year if I start scrapping more.

I got the email as a non-subber too. I'm happy she's back but the cut apart cards is a turn off for me. If I read things correctly they all need to be cut? If so I'm better off just buying through digitals and doing it myself...no postage, no waiting.

I got a 3 month sub, mostly because I want the discounts and the digitals along with it. I am not thrilled with that price, but I feel like I need to see more about how things operate/the quality of the products before I can commit to a year. I like that KP is including other designers, but I don't like that she didn't tell us who they are. I don't think it's going to be like her other shop where contributors would have their own kits, it seems like it will all be mixed into the one kit.
Pros: + love that it has 12x12 papers + generally love KP's designs + love the color scheme of the October kit + love that the kit comes with a 4x6 stamp set & I am a fan of the October stamp + love included digitals and other subscriber perks
Cons: + Not thrilled w/ cut apart cards, mostly because that means they'll be paperweight + No images of the embellishments with the kit images + Some of the card designs for October don't look like they were designed by KP and I'm not a huge fan of them + Price of kit + shipping not included in price (I'm in USA)
The website seems incomplete and buggy so far. When I try to pull it up on the computer I end up with the phone version. When I tried to create an account and log in it just kept redirecting me to log in again. I can't find the website on google so I need to know the exact address to find it.
Ali Edwards had hinted that she had a new subscription or something like that coming at some point. My guess is she's going to come out with a kit that includes larger papers as well, but maybe not 12x12. I have really missed getting 12x12 papers regularly (stopped when SC cancelled the SB kit) and my stash of them is dwindling. I'm hoping Ali has more information by the time that my 3 month sub is up (I would guess she would announce to launch something in January, but that might be too soon given that she was talking about this fairly recently) so I can choose which one I'd want... I don't think I can have two kits with 12x12 papers, especially with my other subs.
I agree with what others said about KPs intentions. She closed the old shop with the intention of starting a new business related to travel and not so much scrapbooking (if at all). But, then the pandemic happened, and the traveling was put on hold and she needed income so she had to fall back on her existing business so she pivoted to this new shop. I am surprised she is offering 12 month subs because I assumed this new shop would be short lived until things went back to normal and she could revive her other plans. Maybe her new goal will be to find a way to pivot this into something she can own and profit from without doing the bulk of the design/logistical work so, down the road, she can focus on something else but still have this as a financial cushion.

I don't like the October kit enough to commit to 12 months which I would normally not hesitate to do for KP. The aesthetics is just a bit off to me and I love me some KP designs. I will take my chances and just buy what I can during the Christmas release for physical products. Worst case scenario I'll at least get digital files to print. I really haven't been in the mood this year to spend money on crafting supplies much at all. I will add to my stash a bit here and there, but mostly will use what I have since I plan to spend November de-stashing and making starter memory keeping kits for people in my community who are interested in telling their stories too.

Yes, I can tell which pieces are Kelly's and I think it is throwing me off with the mash-up of aesthetics in one kit. Besides color scheme, it doesn't feel cohesive to me. However, anything straight KP is going to get my money 95% of the time.
