That's a wrap! All ready for your spreadsheet, gramma. I am just finishing up the One Stop Crop document with all the challenges in one printable list, and will sticky that.

grammadee - I'm confused on the cardtober challenge points Can you clarify for me because the point counting in the team challenges thread - if we do the card plus the twist is it 2 for the challenge plus 1 for the twist plus 5 for the using both? so 8 points plus the usual create/share points? So a base of 10 before adding in other challenges? Or is just 5 points plus the usual create/share for 7pts or.... Also - I'm confused especially on Cardtober #1 points so if you or scrapnnana could help me with that also...

Also - I'm confused especially on Cardtober #1 points so if you or scrapnnana could help me with that also... If points are not mentioned in the CARDtober challenge, then go with the 2 for the card + 1 for the twist + 5 bonus for both + 2 for creating and sharing. Then you can add on any other points that apply. If you are using Easy Peasy, then you can't claim the extra CARDtober points. I usually use Easy Peasy for my cards, but since CARDtober lets me lead with so many, I will be counting the old school way this month. (My cards usually net me 17 in total, and I think I can do better with this head start).
Any of the hosts can add extra points, so if they do, then go with the higher total. For #1 I think scrapnnana is offering 3 points for a box card (instead or the usual 2) and she is offering a couple of levels of twist as well. The bonus of 5 applies on top of any of those scores.
Hope this helps, and we won't need to use Calculus to figure it all out in the end. Now that the challenges have been solidified, I need to go and score my pages and cards created so far this month, or I will NEVER get done...

Thank you - I've been using easy peasy lately but decided to challenge myself to at least count the points this month and then take whichever was better - counted or easypeasy - but I'm out of practise counting. Okay - so for my box card for Cardtober# 1 - 2 (create and share) + 3 (for the box card) + 1 (for the fall/halloween twist) + 5 (for challenge/twist) and then anything else it meets? Also multiple cards meeting a Cardtober challenge - challenge points for one or for each different design?

Also multiple cards meeting a Cardtober challenge - challenge points for one or for each different design? I am going to make a call here, b/c I have been thinking about this. Going to tag the team leaders and the CARDtober hosts though, just to be sure I am being fair.
This part is easy b/c we have done this before: If you create multiple cards with the same design (let's say 10 for this example), you can show us ONE of them. Then you would claim 10 for creating and 1 for sharing before going on with other points. (11 points in the example)
* EASY PEASY, just go by points for that size (let's say 15 in this case) and multiply by number of cards (10), add on your points for creating/sharing (11) and your total would be 161 points for ten cards. *OLD SCHOOL: count up the points you earned for items on your one shared card. Let's say you picked up 20 points for it. Now multiply by the number of cards (10), so 200, and then add on your creating & sharing (11), so 211 points.
For multiple takes on the SAME CARDtober challenge, I am not sure what to say:
*For the FIRST card in the challenge, take the 8 or more points as either outlined in Challenge #1 or take more if the CARDtober challenge offers extra points. So if you made a box card for Ct #1, that total would be 9.
*For the rest of your multiple cards, take the challenge and twist points, but NOT the bonus? Then go ahead and figure out your other points, multiply your total by number of cards, add it to the creating/sharing and the points for the first card, and get a total?
*OR for the sake of ease of counting do we say do the same as with any multiple cards? So if you counted the bonus on the first one as usual, and added in the rest of your points, just multiply by the number of cards?
Whatever we agree on, I will edit into the rules.

Thanks grammadee - I don't want to claim points I don't deserve and I tend to be an overthinker, lol

#51 A Few of My Favourite Things - Do a layout showing some of your favourite things. It could be 5 things you're currently watching or reading or listening to, a favourite recipe or outfit, your favourite people. Bonus point if you use the words "My Favourite...." on your page. (But you don't have to spell it with the extra "u" haha!) Sorry to bother you again, AussieMeg, but I wondered whether this was ok in a different language and if synonyms for 'favourite' were accepted, too. I use préféré and chouchou more often than favori in French but they stand exactly for the same thing.

I was thinking about it as it would relate to sketchtember...one bonus/day, but go ahead and use the challenge + twist as many times as you wish.

I had to relate it the sketches too. and Linda we had a discussion about this very thing yesterday in our hangout. How we none of us want to take more points than we earned and we overthink it, even though in the grand scheme the points don't matter, they just add to the fun lol.

I take the easy way out. If it's a 12x12 layout -20 points. If it's a 4x6 card - 10 points. I do feel weird when I make a boatload though. I'm fine with whatever y'all decide

I will also start a separate thread to point this out, and maybe kitbop and joyfulnana can refer their team members to that thread?

My six months of Year 7 French in 1980 didn't extend much past the numbers and colours!)
