So I picked up a vitamix at Costco and didn’t love it. Considering the cost, we aren’t a huge smoothie family and I’m more of a food processor cook versus a blender cook. I tried making hummus in the vitamix and hated it. I missed the flat bottom of my food processor - I wasted 1/3rd of the hummus and couldn’t get it out. I know the vitamix makes soup but I love doing soup in my instant pot and putting the immersion blender right into it.
My girls liked a couple of smoothies. In one week they’ve each had 1 smoothie. Doesn’t seem worth it to spend $599 CAD in this vitamix from Costco. So now I’m looking at less expensive alternatives so older dd still has a smoothie option.
Costco has a nutribullet and a ninja. I’d like something from Costco for the return policy but willing to look elsewhere. I’d like a stronger motor and with the vitamix I enjoyed the single cup adaptor.
Any ideas??

I have a Ninja Ultra Kitchen System from Costco--came with the 72oz blender, 3 single serve cups (that you attach to base unit to make 16 oz of something), a 64oz bowl, and 3 different blades (including a dough blade). It would probably meet your needs for lots less money--mine is a bit over 5yrs old and was about $150. Not sure if they still have it or something similar.
fyi--I just looked at Costco and don't see anything similar there. But I did find something similar at Bed,Bath and Beyond..

I use my Nutribullet for most smoothies. If I’m making a family sized smoothie I will use the Vitamix. I’ve heard good things about ninja products as well but haven’t used one. I like the size and ease of the Nutribullet.
