Thanks for hosting us kitbop. My total for the month is 1012 pts. Sorry I wasn't more involved and didn't get much done in the challenges, but my Christmas cards are made and I have sent a lot of Sympathy and B-day cards this month.

Pardon the silence through the month. I was mostly active in the October Daily thread. Just finished calculating my points for October and I got 475 points. Every little bit counts, right?

So much has happened since I posted last . . . the trip to San Diego was wonderful until Sunday when DS14 had a melt down. Over stimulatation, not enough exercise, and always with someone, no down time. He did his school, we visited both Sea World and Lego Land (smaller numbers, temp check, masks and no amusement rides). But it was still too much for him. We were fortunate to stay on someones 65 foot yacht, and it was lovely. The problem was there were open bottles of hard liquor that we could not lock up or secure. At some point on either Sunday or Monday morning he snitched a bottle and "tried" some. That started the whole suicidal ideation thought process because he knew he'd really screwed up. I am just glad we got him back on the plane and home on Monday evening. It took about 3 days for him to get totally turned around. Bonus for me though I did stand up paddle 5 of 6 mornings on San Diego Bay! The silver lining? During a conversation as we prepped tomatoes to make sauce he said something like "I know I must've been dropped on my head as a baby". His way of saying he knows something is not quite right with him. I took the plunge and told him that he was right in a way, he did have a brain injury due to his birth mom drinking while pregnant with him. He took it pretty matter of factually, and almost immediately responded, but I'm smart in a lot of ways. Further discussion later, he said he was glad I told him and in a way wished I had told him earlier, but that now was OK too. WHEW! DH was not there during the conversation, but was glad to hear that the discussion went well. We will address his questions as they come up about his Fetal Alcohol Syndrome spectrum disorder. Points? I will have to check the challenges, I know I have 1 card and 1 double page layout I can claim, but I wish that canning 16 pints of tomato sauce and 4 pints of apple sauce counted for something!
Total of 200 points . . . but traveled one week, harvested garden and made tomato sauce, froze 100 cups of cut corn, worked in greenhouse to get fall starts going . . . harvesting marigold seeds. Now I have carpel tunnel so shouldn't be sitting here at the computer

grammadee, does canning count as another craft? If so I can add points both in October and in November. November 1st I did 11 pints of apple sauce.

So to my 200 points I will add 45 points. I harvested, prepped, and canned 16 pints of tomato sauce, 7 pints of pickles, and 4 pints of apple sauce. (Didn't grow the apples, my apples are small and are earlier in the season, they are all in the freezer waiting to be apple crisp or apple pancakes. I also freeze my cherry tomatoes to add into recipes. I didn't can my corn, but I have over 100 cups of cut corn in the freezer in 2 cup vacuum packed bags. If that counts that would be another 30 points . . . done in two batches. I think this is what made the carpel tunnel syndrome really flare up. But again genetics is not in my favor.
So grand total of 275 points.

Is there still time to submit points? I don’t have many but I did do some of the CARDtober cards! I’ll try to figure mine out by the end of the day tomorrow (Friday).
